Wilderness Dunes Shareblock Ltd — Hotel in George

The venue is perfect. Peaceful and tranquil but the management is absolutely terrible. We booked a 3 bedroom chalet, came all the way from Cape Town to be told if you are more than 6 you either rent another chalet or you leave. They do not care if they throw out an 8 month old baby. Management telling us if it breeds its a person. FYI animals breed. We are not animals. They came to check up on us at 10h30 at night when everybody is asleep already. Constantly calling us at night to ensure the 3 extra people left neverminding the fact that their constant calling is waking up the little ones. Now at this very moment there are 2 beds not being occupied as the babies sleep with their mothers but my husband, son and friend has to go sleep in a car outside of their premises and are not allowed inside until the next morning at 8am. I am definitely not coming back to this place. When we asked someone at this venue has this ever happened before, we were told this is the first time something like this has happened to any guest. They do not come check up on guests or their visitors. So my question is why were we being targeted because is surely...

Pro's: Fantastic views, great location, well-equipped kitchen, saw whales and dolphins from my balcony almost every day, good security, friendly security guard at the main gate, very clean. Cons: You have to pay for many basic things, such as unlimited Wi-Fi, heaters, firewood, etc. When I arrived, it was clear that no one had checked the chalet properly beforehand, as several light bulbs weren't working and the doors couldn't lock/ close properly. They did fix some of it after I reported everything. The Netflix never worked, and I eventually gave up on that. The biggest con for me was poor communication and service. And yes, I did read the information provided. But things like the laundry system was still unclear to me, but when I enquired at reception, the manager interrupted the receptionist and spoke to me in a very condescending, unwelcome manner. No loadshedding here..... Each unit has its own inverter and a gas stove! What a huge surprise. Excellent units. Fantastic and friendly staff, who actually listen to your requests, especially Mario on the cleaning team. Mario showed us much respect in our wishes, and was simply fantastic in approach, and never left us hanging. The walkways over the dunes, under tree cover is always a joy.... The pool is long enough and invitingly clean, to get those laps in. Tennis court is on point too.

And Quiet! Such peace and tranquillity, that one can hear the birds and see them as they pop in for a hello....I even found a lifer there🤗
