Pebble Beach — Hotel in KwaDukuza Local Municipality

We stayed in number 13, the view was gorgeous but the unit itself was very lacking. We did not opt for cleaning services. We're glad we did not, as their standards are quite low. The apartment was hardly clean for normal standards much less the standards during the pandemic. There were 3 cleaning ladies when we arrived but they might as well have skipped the apartment. There was shoe's from previous visitors under one of the beds, old bottle caps and a whole contingent of dust bunnies under all the beds. We did not walk barefoot until we could clean ourselves since we could feel the grime under our feet. The mop they had used was absolutely filthy and unhygienic. The shower still had sand in it when we wanted to use (as well as someone's left over soap) and the bathroom smelled like old/stale urine. The couches also smelled very strange, almost like smelly feet and damp. The whole third room also smelled like damp, more than you'd even expect from living so close to the ocean. The windows need a good washing and so does everything else in that apartment. Needless to say we would never stay at Pebble...

Pebble Beach 12 Penthouse Apartment booked through Booking. com /oasis properties Umhlanga. Beautiful modern well appointed and super clean apartment. Very comfy couches, beds and quality linen and towels. Aircons were a comfort in the February heat and humidity. Quality shutters which are great to shade morning sun. Unit has high security entrance padlocks, and security guard in complex. Stunning seaviews and constant roar of the ocean was amazing. Only negatives were no direct beach access, open complex stairwells (inconvenient and slippery when raining), and no undercover area on unit patio to braai if raining.

Great place for family, although the living room area might get a little bit crowded if occupied by 6 adults. Beautiful views of the ocean. Walk along the road to beach access was easy, just a uphill on the return, but totally worth it. Grounds and communial areas were well kept and security patrolling the premises at night. Kitchen was very well equipped with more than enough cutlery and crockery. Each room had an aircon. The main bedroom is spacious with a full en suite bathroom. Linen and towels supplied was crisp and clean!...
