I can hardly find the words to describe the sheer magic of our recent getaway, a surprise booked by my husband to celebrate not only our 20 years together but also our milestone 10-year anniversary on the same day. This destination has always been on my bucket list since I first laid eyes on it on Instagram—so when we arrived, I was absolutely overjoyed! Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted with a glass of bubbly, setting the perfect tone for our stay. Randolph, our charming host, walked us through the enchanting details of the guest house, and we shared delightful conversations at the honesty bar before he led us to our beautifully appointed room. At our leisure, we unpacked before Evelyne (the hostess) arrived to whisk us away to the spa. Words can't capture how incredible the experience was; it was by far the most extraordinary day of my life. We indulged in the full Turkish spa experience and, believe me, we lost track of time, extending our blissful 3.5-hour appointment to almost 6 hours 🥰 We began our session in the Turkish steam room, enveloped in a cloud of eucalyptus—a refreshing start to our journey. Next, we were transported to the Hamam treatment room, where the ambiance was nothing short of magical: a crackling fire, the warmth of our skilled therapists, and the delightful aroma of sweet Turkish tea and traditional Turkish delights served in the most exquisite teacups. From the soothing scrubbing of our feet and delightful leg massages to the invigorating full-body exfoliation with Turkish gloves, each moment was a revelation. We then enjoyed a detoxifying mud bath, snugly wrapped in a blanket to draw out the toxins from our bodies. The experience culminated in an incredible bubble bath ritual, a rinse that felt like pure bliss, and even featured a refreshing face exfoliation and a pampering hair wash. After our treatments, we were escorted to a serene room where we immersed ourselves in a luxurious jacuzzi, toasting our anniversary with a bottle of bubbly—it was simply breathtaking! Lunch was a culinary masterpiece: a savoury tuna salad adorned with fresh garden vegetables and herbs, alongside a stunning homemade soup that left us in awe of the chef's artistry. We basked in the tranquility as we savoured our meal, reminiscing and bonding before our grand finale—a full-body massage that transcended relaxation. I genuinely felt like I had escaped to a secluded tropical paradise after just a few hours at Pjure Spa. We drifted into the most profound sleep, blissfully wrapped in peace. We went into town for dinner - recommended by the host - I loved how she promoted supporting locals … this truly speaks volume about the integrity and passion of this gorgeous couple. 🤍 The next morning we were greeted with a breakfast that was world-class, boasting an unmatched attention to detail that left me in admiration. Randolph and Evelyne’s dedication to creating a warm, welcoming environment made it feel like home—on steroids! From the moment we arrived at PJURE Boutique Hotel & Spa in Montagu, we were completely mesmerized. The mountains around change every minute — the light, the colors, the peace — it’s pure magic.||We were welcomed by the most wonderful couple, who have created something truly extraordinary. PJURE feels like an oasis that blends South African warmth with European design and quality and a touch of Turkish inspiration through the hammam. Every corner, every scent, every view feels intentional and filled with love.||What struck us most was how much thought has gone into every small detail — from the textures and aromas in the spa treatments to the way each meal is prepared and presented. You can literally feel the care, creativity, and passion behind everything. The spirit of generosity flows through the entire place — from the owners themselves to the atmosphere they’ve created. It’s in the way they welcome you, the way they think ahead about your comfort, and the way they make you feel so genuinely cared for.||The rooms are elegant yet cozy, perfectly equipped, and filled with touches that make you feel both pampered and at home. The privacy and quiet are just what the soul needs.||Breakfast was an experience on its own — fresh, local, much of it from their own garden, beautifully made and served with such warmth. Every bite felt nourishing and made with love - a lot of love.||The spa, though, is truly something else. We had the signature caviar and gold facial, followed by the full hammam journey — nearly five hours of pure indulgence. The owner herself does the facials and her team is amazingly trained by her after owning top spa and beauty parlours in Paris & Belgium. She even studied professionally Hammam treatments IN TURKEY! You can sense her passion in every movement, every scent, every texture — it’s all thought through and deeply personal.||Everything about PJURE invites you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect — with yourself, with nature, and with beauty. We left feeling renewed, grateful, and so touched by the generosity and soul that fill this place.||We can’t wait to come back. Wow, what a memorable weekend we had at the luxurious wellness getaway at Pjur, celebrating my husband’s 60th here! I explained over the phone to Evelyn our needs as a family for this special and private celebration, and she and her staff then ensured that we had an even better weekend than we had hoped for. On her recommendation, our adult “kids” slept in the 2 luxurious rooms in the main building and we took one of the larger villas further away. During the days and evenings, we as a family could spend time here together inside and outside our own private and luxurious space, with stunning views and everything needed to celebrate and relax together. Upon our arrival, we were heartily welcomed by a bubbly Evelyn and helped to settle in. Thereafter we all enjoyed a pampering spa experience in the modern and brand new spa centre (and wished we had arranged more time to make use of all the other relaxing spa and outdoor facilities there). Thereafter, we were able to all relax together privately outdoors at this self-catering villa, enjoying sundowners and snacks, and ending with a homely family braai. The next morning after a decadent, beautifully prepared breakfast in the main centre, we all returned to our villa where we could continue to celebrate my husband’s birthday as a family, and catch up on precious time together in a beautiful private space in nature. On Evelyn’s recommendation, we made an early evening booking for supper at one of the most extraordinary restaurants we’ve been to - BluVine in Montagu. Richard welcomed us, and his staff ensured a memorable family feast for us at this unique and opulently decorated restaurant (even check out their rest rooms too) 😉 When we arrived back at Pjure, our villa had been discreetly freshened up and a glorious fire was lit that welcomed us back in ambient light. We are so grateful to Evelyn for her personal input and attention to detail, which enabled us to enjoy a most memorable family celebration all weekend long – sincerest gratitude to you and your staff, Evelyn.
