Our experience at Leaves Spa was nothing like the advertised "5-star treatment" we were expecting. The actual property barely warrants two stars. The marketing shows beautiful poolside sundowners and stunning views, but instead, we had a view of washing lines and a carport. With only three parking spaces for five rooms, we constantly had to ask other guests to move their cars—completely unacceptable. The details were just as disappointing: cracked cups, no shampoo or soap in the bathroom, and we were promised a bath but only had a shower. Our booking indicated a double and a single bed, but we were given only a double. Breakfast wasn’t included, despite what we had assumed, and our room wasn't cleaned until after 2 p.m. For the price, this was extremely disappointing. We ended up leaving a day early, and no one even asked why or showed any concern. Overall, this was far from a 5-star experience, and we won’t be returning.

Leaves Lodge and Spa is worthy of it's 5 Star rating. What an amazing Romantic venue for couples who want to spend some special time in one another's company. The views are magnificent, and the bush is close to the lodge. One never get's the sense that you are in the bustling city of Mbombela. Rooms are immaculate and supports the romance. Our bedroom had a shower and bath en-suite. A stocked barfridge, kettle, microwave, iron and ironing board. For the ladies....a hairdryer. Breakfast was tasty and well presented. A swimming pool and jacuzzi is available for those who want to take a splash. Leaves also has a Spa....booking is essential. I would not recommend the Main lodge for parents with children younger than 12 years of age. However, the Lodge does cater for families.

Thank you to Leaves Lodge for a wonderful stay, The rooms were super clean and smelt so fresh. The rooms were equipped with more than necessary which makes one feel like they are definitely secure during their stay. There was Sherry on arrival as welcome drinks, smeg kettle with coffee tea, a fridge and microwave, iron etc. We were very impressed. What was even more amazing was the food and services. Absolutely suberb, well done and I hope I can return soon.

I've had a horrific experience staying at Leaves Lodge & Spa while on a business trip with three of my colleagues. We'd booked one night's stay bed & breakfast. 1st incident - While waiting to have dinner, we ordered drinks only to find they didn't have any sparkling water, any juice (they offered us kiddies boxed juice as an alternative) or any bottled water. The service was very slow, only two staff were on duty that evening, the chef and the waiter who informed us there was no manager on duty that evening. We decided to go have dinner at the local Spur instead. 2nd incident - We tried to address the previous night's dinner incident with the manager on duty who ignored it completely and moved on to the breakfast orders. 3rd incident - I hurt my toe on the corner of the shower that morning and needed a first aid kit. I tried calling reception, the room's phone was dead so I had to limp to reception for assistance. The manager on duty, Sidney, informed me that the first aid kit was locked and we had to wait for one of their staff members to arrive later to open it. I limped back to my room to wait. Upon arrival at my room the manager noticed some blood splatters on one of the towels from the bathroom I'd used stepping out when I got injured. He became quite agitated, stating that he'd charge me for linen damage and he assumes I wouldn't have used towels had I been in my own home! I said I'd pay for the linen but his behavior was quite shocking seeing as I'm injured and noted his lack of empathy. At this point he marched, uninvited to the bathroom and started pointing at tissues stating I could've used those instead of damaging the linen! Then he said "You people just like to complain". I asked him what he meant by that statement as I'm a young black woman and him being an older white male. He ignored my question about his racist comment and said he'd never encountered any problems with my company before, "Do you want my help or not?" He asked. I told him I preferred to be assisted by someone else to which he said they were understaffed, he'd made an exception coming in to serve us and stormed out of the room. I waited, thinking he'd send someone to assist with my injury but no one came. I limped back to reception and called one of my colleagues for assistance who went to speak to the manager on duty who was then just nonchalant about the incident and had just continued with his work after storming out of my room earlier. We then packed up and left the...

Tricked false advertising its in a busy highway speeding road, no tranquility R8000 for 1 night basically stolen as we were given a room that clearly was a converted garage,in a old rotten house away from the lodge very very bad no ventilation smelly shower black mold massive cockroach under the towel, with partial electricity NO HOT WATER dodgy smelly dirty carpets Initially 8 beds were booked when forced to pay upfront (also not acceptable) I was promised a adjustment the next morning as we were only 6 checking in. The second room old fashioned smelled bad, third room old fashioned all Elvis Presley kitchen bling style, it was bad. So no wall plugs working only cold water, nothing in mini bar but a already opened small water.Only the one mini bottle. Middle of the night still waiting to be given other promised rooms, walked accross the mad road kettle in hand to go beg for hot water no one opened.I literally stood in pouting rain waited and waited but no response.Next morning I was assured a refund, it is day three staff apologized for the OWNER TO RESPOND FOR BEING RUDE AND TREATMENT OF US but nothing. I am shocked and urge everyone...

A Peaceful Oasis in the Heart of Nelspruit

I had a wonderful stay at the beginning of September at this lovely boutique establishment while visiting Nelspruit to take care of some personal admin. The name truly reflects its lush, green surroundings, with beautiful gardens that feel like an oasis. You hardly feel like you’re in the city at all.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with both a large bathtub and a shower. Another highlight was that they welcomed my precious pup, Spunky, for a small additional fee, which was a definite win in my book.

Breakfast was divine, offering a mix of classic continental options, omelettes, and a few creative dishes thoughtfully prepared by the chef. Every staff member I met was warm, welcoming, and full of good energy, greeting guests with bright smiles and genuine kindness.

For anyone looking for an efficient stopover or a peaceful longer stay, somewhere quiet yet conveniently close to everything you need, this is the perfect spot. Thank you for making my stay such a...
