Pensão Lodge — Hotel in Mbombela

I travel around the country a lot with my work & this is the worst place I've stayed in -On the 1st day when we got there the remotes to the parking lot were given to our white colleagues(by a black lady by the way) & us the 3 black guys were told by the lady @ reception that our cars will be parked outside..."it's safe there's a guard @ night" -For the duration of the time we were there(2 long weeks)the service was very selective.eg.our white colleagues would be told to not be shy if the food wasn't enough,one of them asked for more stake & it was given to him but when the colored guy asked it was said there isn't enough for everyone -The owner(who stays in the premises)has a dog that barks a lot & makes noise This is a very racist lodge & I will NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE WHOSE BLACK TO GO STAY THERE...

The online gallery of the facility is quite appealing; however, the actual state of the property is disappointing. The garden has become overgrown and unkempt, resembling a bush rather than a well-maintained area. One of the swimming pools has been turned into a dumping ground, while the other pools are not properly cleaned. Additionally, one of the structures is dilapidated and quite frightening to look at. There is also a lack of proper seating outside the rooms, which detracts from the overall comfort of the stay.||||On a positive note, the rooms are clean and neat, which is commendable. However, as these are self-catering units, the addition of a microwave would be highly beneficial. It is imperative that the current owner takes immediate action to improve the facility’s condition and stops using outdated gallery pictures and videos that mislead potential guests about the lodge’s...

The reception lady was quite nice but the place itself not so much, dogs on the premises barking and relieving themselves right in front of our door. When we arrived we asked for an iron a simple iron and were told that the staff had knocked off and doesn't work on weekends and then taken to a room in the middle of the night to do our ironing because a move able iron couldn't be brought to our room and then taken back after we were done using it. The kitchen closes on weeknds(as we were told by the reception lady) which doesn't make sense if you want breakfast the next day. Everything about the room was bad, water was not hot and there was no one to help us as we there was no one at reception when we woke up.
