Mountain View Guest House — Hotel in Nama Khoi Local Municipality

BEST B&B WE STAYED AT IN A LONG TIME As we walked in, we received a warm welcome and felt immediately at home. The staff are very nice, attentive, professional and approachable, which is always a sign of very good, forward and progressive thinking management. Breakfast is delicious and freshly prepared every morning, and each day we were offered a different variety of delicacies. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean, including vacuum cleaned under the beds and dusting on top of the cupboards. (yes, I can be finicky, but it’s worth mentioning) The setting up on the hill and fresh breeze create a pleasant clime and it feels like a couple of degrees cooler than in town. The well-tended gardens are laid out on the slopes and there are many individual areas with tables, seats, and benches where you can relax in your own privacy. Another few things that stood out to me: • The management’s over-all attention to detail. • High quality, well mercerised bedlinen, 300 or possibly 400 tread count • The bathroom towels are of the same high standard. • Consistent and well-designed branding throughout. • USB charging ports in the rooms. (very important these days) • Firm mattress, which was particularly good for me, as I suffer from lower back problems.

We stayed for 3 nights and used Mountain View Lodge as a base to explore the surroundings and Goegap Nature Reserve. We would have happily stayed longer, but sadly had to make our way back to the UK.

We had the absolute best experience staying at Mountain View Guesthouse in Springbok. The views over the mountains and valley are simply breathtaking — it truly feels like you’re living in nature and a part of it.

Evenings spent around the braai with family and friends were magical, filled with laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments. The peaceful surroundings and natural beauty created the perfect backdrop for relaxation and connection.

A special thank you to the warm and welcoming staff who made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. But what really made our visit exceptional was the owner, Malcolm. His hospitality, local knowledge, and the time he took to share stories and point out the best spots to see the flowers really made a difference.

As a bonus, we also had a wonderful dinner at Malcolm’s Okiep Country Lodge — highly recommended!

All aspects of our experience were superb! The exterior and environment had a tranquil ambience, while the room was fully equipped with everything we needed. The manager, Coba, was hands on and made our experience even more pleasant. She and her team clearly pays careful attention to detail, and this is evident in various ways, especially through the cleanliness. All standards appeared to be high, especially the high thread count sheets and right sockets for our devices (a general irritation at other establishments). Breakfast was delicious and the chef prepared each item to perfection. We had dinner at the sister hotel (Okiep Country Hotel) and the experience and quality of food was just as exceptional.
