House on Westcliff — Hotel in Overstrand Local Municipality

I stayed here in December (peak season) with my mother and son for a couple of nights to attend a friend's wedding. We really had such a nice and relaxing time.

The hosts (Lynda and Eitan) were so accommodating and friendly. When I booked, they said they might be able to put a mattress down for my young child in the twin room we were sharing, and it was ready when we arrived.

Be aware that the front desk staff are not always there 24/7 so they will ask you for your check-in time and they will be there at that time, so it's good to try not to be late. Unfortunately the road traffic on our route slowed us down.

Breakfast was included. Simple, well made and very delicious. (Cut fruit, tea or coffee, juice, toast with various spreads, granola/yoghurt, and a cooked breakfast (eggs, bacon, tomato, mushroom).

Relaxing with our feet in the pool in the afternoon was really nice. The other guests were friendly and relaxed.

The room was spacious and furnished in a very simple, pretty and practical way. We didn't get the tv to work but that wasn't our reason for being there. WiFi is included. The bathroom was very comfortable too.

House on Westcliffe is a little walk away (15 mins) from the centre of Hermanus and we absolutely loved that fact as it made us take the coastal path (indescribably stunning and meant we saw whales every day we were there!!) into town. We loved our stay at House on Westcliff. The property exceeded our expectations and was far nicer than on the pictures. It is located 3 minutes from the New Harbor and just 2 minutes walk to the cliff path. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Beds were very comfy. Updated bathroom was nice with great water pressure. The pool and garden areas are very tranquil and relaxing.
