Moments Guesthouse - Kleinmond — Hotel in Overstrand Local Municipality

IF I COULD RATE IT MINUS 1, WOULD.

Beautiful place but didn't appreciate the owner just walking in and out of the space we rented and invading our privacy. We were woken up by a sms reminder that we need to be out by 10am and should ensure that we do not steal the complimentary stuff in the rooms and kitchen. Demanded extra money for the toddler with us us and didn't even organise her a cot. WE WERE VERY DISRESPECTED. I WOULD NOT EVER BOOK THIS PLACE AGAIN NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WANTING TO HAVE A PEACEFUL STAY.

Can you believe the owner just confronted us for writing this review. They are taking no responsibility they're part in our uncomfortable stay. We didn't even mention that the power was turned off on us at 10:35 with no communication whatsoever from them ( no it was not loadshedding) . I mean for a male to walk into an area full of ladies, unannounced we could have been walking around just wrapped in towels as we were told we were the only ones on the premises for the weekend and that the owner stays upstairs and will remain there during our stay.

Felt very welcomed. We were also told to pay for a toddler whose bed was not provided. We had to share a bed with her on top of it we were told of the toddler messes on the bed we will have to pay R1000. On the morning of checking out we were sent a text to remind us to leave at 10 and not steal the complementary hand wash and lotion on the bathrooms. On top of it before the 10 o'clock and a man used his key to come inside the house to lock away some of the items in the house ( not sure if the assumption was that we are going to steal something), what's worse is we were only women in the house, a man just coming in unannounced could have found one of us in a very compromising position. We have never felt so disrespectful...

Beautiful little getaway. My stay at moments will definitely not be my last. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay as the hosting was immaculate and rooms could not be any cleaner than what they were. I was extremely impressed. Felt homey and easily could have stayed much longer. The guest house was within walking distance to the beach but also had the tempting option of spending the day by the pool which was heavenly, especially after coming off the beach.
