Kleine Constantia Guest House — Hotel in Roodepoort

The 2 stars are just because the venue is beautiful and well-maintained. The rest of the experience of having a wedding here was awful. If you've heard good things about the venue (like we did, which is why we chose it), don't feel assured. There's a new event team (Cathy and Christy) who are rude, aggressive and most of all, unbelievably incompetent. Regardless of your brief, and how many times they say 'yes' to your requirements, they will run the event the way they want to.

If you do have an event here, do not allow Cathy to manage it, under any circumstances. She will tell you about 5 times a minute that she has 25 years' of experience, but if you look at Stargaze Events' Facebook page (they don't have a functioning website) you will see what type of events these are. When our big wedding of 200 people had to be cancelled due to covid we decided we couldn't wait. We had booked rooms for the bridal party and bride's parents at Kleine Constantia and due to how beautiful guesthouse is I spoke to them about having the photos and reception there. They were kind and attentive, and really the venue is unparalleled in this part of the world for beauty. It rained and the staff were at the ready with umbrellas. We hosted my sisters bridal shower in the beautiful gardens of Kleine Constantia Guest House. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the venue to the food to the service. And the attention to detail was unbelievable. Marisa and Callan are amazing. They will bend over backwards to make your function extra special.
