Since moving to this side of town we've been frequent customers at The Golden Rose Strubens Valley. Last night was no different. However, when my vegetable spring rolls were overcooked, I politely asked the waitress if they could do another batch. She spoke to someone behind the counter and he didn't look pleased. No one except her came to apologize. I told my husband maybe I should cancel my mains because I was afraid something was going to be done to my food. I ordered vegetable fried rice. We'll...since last night I've had the most horrible diarrhoea!! It was so bad I had to rush home this morning, and hardly had time to get home last night.I won't say anymore. I've never had an issue with their food so I'm totally confused. Upset doesn't begin to describe how I feel. I ate at about 8:30pm last night. It is now 18:22 pm the next day and I can't leave the bathroom. Very angry and disappointed. Needless to say my husband is fine. Will never visit this restaurant again. Read moreAlways great service and food. Good quality ingredients and good sized portions too. The sushi is delicious and very fresh and very affordable. I would definitely say that this is my favorite Chinese take out. The deep fried banana is great as a dessert option, obviously add some ice cream at home and its a real treat. Try the dumplings they are available in both boiled and deep fried, the deep fried is so crispy and not oily at all, the steamed is best so full of flavour. All round this is not to be missed try Golden rose you'll have a new favourite Chinese take out. There is seating available for a sit down meal although a little small there are 3 tables inside and a sushi bar that seats 4 and 4 tables outside. Hope you enjoy it as much as...

Basically a bowl of normal pasta (not Asian noodles, egg noodles, rice noodles or anything of the sort) with little to no veg (a few mushrooms, carrot sticks and bamboo shoots), covered in an extremely unpalatable oily sauce with little to no flavour except oil. Nothing remotely resembling a true Pad Thai, no bean sprouts, no peanuts, no tofu, no sweet sour flavour. They call it their Thaifood section on the menu, but there is absolutely no chance that this chef or owner knows a Pad Thai even if it stood in from of them. No no no Gold Rose Town Square, that was an epic failure to...
