Featherbed — Hotel in Somerset West

I stayed at the Featherbed in Somerset West for one night. (I prepaid for 3 nights) I confirmed I was bringing 3 dogs. One of them is recuperating from ill health and he urinated on the bed. I was mortified and immediately rinsed the bedding, then washed the affected area. Well all hell broke loose with the hostess becoming quite hysterical and rude and insulting. I also used 2 of the dishes for my dog food, my bad. My, my, what a show she gave. This was AFTER I agreed to forfeit one nights accomodation in lieu of the laundry bill! Her partner was reluctant to get involved, to his credit. Oh, and I was threatened with a police visit as well.The entire sordid affair was quite an eye opener. This place is gorgeous, we got a whole apartment to ourselves- which after some traveling was exactly what we needed. They have a kitchen with everything you need to cook, large living area, TV with satellite TV, and a giant bed. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back. The reason for only 4 stars is that we arrived one hour before our scheduled time and the owners weren't there nor did they answer the phone calls or text messages we sent.
