Delaire Graff Lodges And Spa — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

If you're looking for the perfect 5* luxury experience in South Africa and especially Stellenbosch, look no further. This is it. We've stayed there for more than two weeks, and there wasn't a single problem.

The service: awesome, super-personal, friendly and charming staff. The villas: Absolutely great (try to get one of the newer recently rennovated villas). It's like your own small apartment, they have a small kitchenette with free minibar including wine, sweets, etc. - even the room service breakfast is included. You have a wide comfy bed, a spacious living room and your own personal heated pool with a view to the vineyards. Can't get any better. The SPA: Perfect treatment, lovely couple massage, great personal sauna experience. The restuarants: Perfect as well. Awesome food, knowledgable sommeliers, great architecture and view. (Little suggestion: If you stay longer, have maybe a daily rotating special - but that might have been left out due to COVID). Other things to do: The wine cellar tour is very personal and informative, the wine tasting is great (definitely buy some bottles of Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc Costal Cuvee).

I can't overstate the service, they even let us stay in one of their biggest villa on departure day and use the pool so we didn't need to rush. The perfect ending for a perfect holiday.

So if you're looking for the most relaxing escape ever from all the hectic and just enjoy a great time in the sun with the most perfect service (not just service: super-friendly people), great food and a perfect accomodation.

Ok let’s cut to the chase. This is for the 2% of the world. Or for the people who want to live like the top 2%. The grounds are breathtaking. And views even better. The service absolutely phenomenal. The lodges were nicer than our home. And we have a really nice home. The vineyards are expansive and have all types of flowers and produce and of course vines. The gym is the best I’ve been to while traveling. We ate at the estate twice. One night my stomach was off so I can’t judge this. My wife enjoyed her sushi immensely. Breakfast was a true delight. We went into stellenbosch and they offered us an exclusive private Transfer that was very affordable. My only issue with this establishment was the costing of the wines. They were expensive even for American standards. Like Napa! And they don’t offer any type of free house wine. They do offer free hard alcohol but we only drink red wine. Das Gute zuerst: die Zimmer mit beheiztem Pool sind wirklich h schön und sehr großzügig, ja das Zimmer war eine Wucht. Das Bett war super bequem und die Bettwäsche sehr hochwertig. Tolle kleine Küche mit complimentary drinks wie Gin und Tonic und diverse andere Getränke. Flasche Wein zum Empfang mit leckerem Gebäck sehr hübsch her gerichtet.||Das Essen im Indochine Restaurant war ausgezeichnet mit viel Raffinesse und angenehmer Atmosphäre. ||Frühstück eine Wucht auf Sterne Niveau - das beste Frühstück auf unserer Reise! Sehr gepflegte Anlage, tolle großzügige Räume überall. ||Aber: ||Leider blickt man von der tollen eigenen Terrasse mit Pool auf eine sehr befahrene Straße und man hört sie natürlich auch, das fanden wir ziemlich störend - zumal man wirklich sehr viel Geld für das Zimmer bezahlt! Ein echtes Manko. ||Das Delaire Graff Restaurant hat uns im Unterschied zum Indochine überhaupt nicht überzeugt. Sehr laut und chaotisch, wenig intim - sehr eng gestellte Tische da gibt es weitaus bessere Restaurants in der nahen!! Umgebung. ||Die Käseplatte zum wine tasting war nichts Besonderes zu einem Preis von 450 Rand, der Käse zu kalt und zu normal, kaum Geschmack! Wir haben dies dann auch einfach aufs Zimmer schreiben lassen und haben für die Käseplatte keinen tip aufgeschrieben weil wir damit einfach nicht zufrieden waren. Der Kellner trug dann gleich wieso wir keinen tip geben !!!??? Das geht gar nicht. ||Schöne Boutique mit tollen Kleidungsstücken aber hochnäsiger Verkäuferin die einen überhaupt nicht beachtet hat und wenn man etwas angefasst hatte sie gleich ran kam um das Kleidungsstück wieder zu glätten. Unmöglich. ||Alles in allem eine exclusive Anlage mit tollen Zimmern (wenn die Straße bloß nicht so störend wäre!) aber teils überhebliches Personal!
