La Sosta Restaurant — Hotel in Swellendam Local Municipality

This was my second stay here and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Our room was spotless and warm despite it being winter and very cold outside. the bathroom is a good size and the shower is very spacious. Plenty of room for two if you want to save water ;-) the room is also serviced with amenities such as bottled water and a kettle for tea and coffee.||||Chris and his daughter make great hosts and you really feel at home here. Dinner was amazing and i ended up having 5 courses from the 4 course menu! I couldn't resist the best pate I have ever eaten. I hope this remains a permanent part of the menu.||||It was also good to know that as much as possible is sourced locally and put together by a chef who really knows his craft. We recently dined at La Sosta for their Italian-inspired fine dining course, and all I can say is—WOW. It was truly one of the most memorable food experiences I've had so far. As someone who deeply appreciates good food, this is a meal I'll be talking about for a long time.

The service was impeccable; the staff were not only attentive but also highly knowledgeable. It's very clear that the chefs are masters of their craft. Their flavor pairings were unique and inventive with clean, honest flavors, really reflecting their passion for what they do.

The restaurant itself is small and intimate, creating a romantic and charming atmosphere. We will most certainly be coming back for more!...

I cannot praise La Sosta enough. From the time we were met by the lovely Bronwyn at the door to the minute we left, it was an unforgettable experience. The rooms are so comfortable . Coffee and tea making facilities. Toiletries supplied. An inviting, sparkling swimming pool with comfortable loungers. All the staff are friendly and helpful. It's a family run business with both the young owners present. The dinner in a beautifully decorated restaurant was a taste sensation and very pleasing on the eye.
