Flora Bay Resort — Hotel in Western Cape

With this id like to inform all to take note of the following.||||Bedding : Bedding is torn, stained.. and not washed. Our base wase smaller than the matras. || ||Braai facilities: Its rusted through, grid packed with malt and rust drain is blocked with used charcoal .the braai and grids were attached with wire.||||Floors : Floors are sticky ! Not washed and black feet within minutes is guaranteed .||||Windows and walls: running marks on windows and walls of some kind. Honeymoon sweet eeeeeeU! Grose!||||Ethics : management does not react to any issues. They dont take ownership. We were simply told by management that we cant be assisted simply because they are attending a movie . (This was on an emergency number) . We were also told that whatever happens over a weekend they will not assist.||||We were told by (Rageni ) the managers PA to tel the other guests keep their base music to a minimum after we informed her that their music played till 2am that morning,we told her that it cannot be expected of us as customers,she did not care.||||Safety hazard: There are holes in the ceiling in which downligher lights are installed and birds are nesting in there which could cause te place...

The view is absolutely stunning, but unfortunately that is the only positive.||The unit is very dated from the furniture to the overall accessories and appliances.||and it was not sparkly clean or smelled nice on arrival||The balcony banister of unit 3 is broken, tied together with wire which is extremely dangerous if not noticed and it was not pointed out to us.||The balcony sliding door is very worn, it`s a struggle to open and close it||The bedding is old, quite used and has a dingy smell including the upstairs bedroom||Not fitted sheets, so during your sleep if you move around, be prepared to be lying on the bare mattress||The stove plates are so badly worn, the black of the plates is nearly completely gone ||Bathroom cabinet is loose, if you open it, the entire cabinet comes forward||There is no soap dish, toothbrush holder and one towel rail in the one shared bathroom bathroom for a 4 people||The Kitchen cloths are very used, definitely needs an upgrade ||Had we not asked for more towels after WE checked the unit, they had only provided 2 bath towels for 3 guests.||In summary, the unit we stayed in (family suite)...

Amazing views, pity the facility itself doesn't live up to the pictures on the website... Linen was very old, pillow cases had huge holes on them, towels had stains on them. Being winter you would expect to find decent blankets, however a thin single blanket was found for a double bed. With cape town experiencing a water shortage you would imagine that they would be trying to save water, however the shower head was completely broken which caused the water to just gush out! There was no bucket available to collect the cold water while waiting for the water to heat up... The parking situation is terrible! If you are a heavy packer and have many bags to carry, good luck!! Would never stay there again and completely understand the saying "you get what...
