Hout Bay View Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Western Cape

I loved the "boutique hotel" interior everywhere with many details. We had upgraded white spacious room in tropical design with bath tube. It was quite and romantic, fantastic panoramic view on bay lights at night... I did not like the owner's behavior. A couple of men: one was reserved amd intelligent, he checked is in and made that simple breakfast. His partner kinda minded our business. On one hand it was "democratic friendly" chatting to us like old buddy who's place we visiting, it was fun at the first morning. But on second breakfast I'd prefer to spend romantical time with my boyfriend, especially we had a short vacation. Instead we had number 3 with us -the "friendly" owner who was even flirting with my bf trying to provoke him with uncomfortable jokes... also he asked us very personal things that were very our of the place/ not appropriate..

It felt like some weird mates let us in for free coz we were in need so we had to smile and tolerate.. again, first day was okay, extra was on the second morning breakfast when we checked out after so we didn't reflect it right away. Reading the other reviews, i assume he might be under something. I felt like our beautiful time together was taken away by that man, and it supposed to be a specifical memory about us two, instead it was mini harassment and dramatic questions from a stranger that lead later to arguments and drama after we...

A view with a room: what a fitting slogan and the room to go with the view is also lovely. We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hout Bay View guesthouse. We booked very last minute and were greeted very warmly when we arrived. Both Bryan and Drew are excellent hosts. We had booked a room with a garden view. Bryan offered to move us to a sea facing room once one became available, which turned out to be the next day. The view is breathtaking and opening the curtains in the morning put a smile on our faces. The rooms were very clean and tidy, thanks to Stan. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES!!!!! listen!! do not go to this hotel!!!!! the owner (andrew) is an ALCOHOLIC!!!!!!!!!!! He left us stranded outside on the street for 1 hour not replying to our calls or texts even though we had informed him of our check in time (because he was passed out drunk). it took us 2 hours to find someone at the hotel to check us in. Upon checkin, he didn’t give us the room we paid for.
