So, I initially booked this for day use. I emailed ahead of time and was told I could book for 0900-1600. Thankfully the reply email was in both English and Korean AND I took a screenshot of the reply. When I got there the man at the front desk wasn't aware that I would be checking in nor my arrangement for day use. It probably took close to 30 minutes before he got the okay that I could stay the proposed hours. The room was VERY NICE, especially for the price. There was a small entry way "anteroom" with it's own door meaning once inside you don't hear any hallway noise. I'm including photos which I only took AFTER I had made a mess of the room! I had a nice shower, the perfect sleep for about 6 hours in preparation for my next 12 hour flight and then I was up and out. Super easy from the airport to take ALL STOPS train 2 stops in about 10 minutes (iirc it was KRW1500 plus 500 "deposit" on the single use card which could be claimed back later). Exit the train station and probably less than 300m walk. Lots of fast food around. After my sleep I walked over to a food store (Lotte) and bought a prepared salad, sandwich and snacks to take to the airport. It was the perfect place for me to crash for an afternoon and all I paid for the room was $26+$6 tax. I will likely use this hotel for ALL my short layovers in Seoul...
Read moreI found this little hotel via a google search. The reviews were mostly positive, and so is mine. This is a very easy place to access from ICN. It is a short 2-stop ride on the local into Seoul. Get off at the Unseo stop (to the left) and exit to the left towards the town. Walk down a few steps to the road in front, take a right and a minute later you'll see the Hotel June sign on a building down a little street to the left. Scoot through a small passage way beside a restaurant, and you'll see the entrance/registration.
My room was spacious with a double bed. The furnishings are not much, but comfortable There was a PC available (not needed), a small reefer and a large TV. The bath was large with a shower and a jacuzzi tub. The price was $110, so it isn't the cheapest find, but rates are lower at other times and with more advanced booking.
Unseo has little to do, but there are some shops and convenient restaurants. The hotel operates it's own restaurant, but I'd recommend getting more adventurous than that. There is a trail/trace suitable for a run or walkies.
The staff at the reception were efficient, friendly and helped making the whole thing easy. A 10 min shuttle to Incheon operates every 30 min, so it isn't even necessary to do the train.
I will...
Read moreThis hotel is situated about 20 minutes from Incheon airport, in a suburb with plenty of eateries, restaurants and supermarkets. It is nicely located should you are in transit between Incheon and Gimpo airport, although this hotel is closer to Incheon. There is also a hotel shuttle to and fro Incheon running on regular basis, which is quite convenient.||||This is not a new hotel, but it is clean with huge room and toilet. For the rates that you are paying, I think the value is extremely superb. I stayed only for a night during transit so didn’t had the chance to have the buffet.||||However, the room has a flat screen TV, a DVD player, fridge and the usual coffee making facilities. What is a surprise to me is the cup steriliser, and a computer ( old one though ). The floor is heated. The toilet is huge with a corner bathtub, and the best part is the sauna …. Yes, a sauna in your own toilet! I haven’t come across any hotels with a sauna in your own toilet.||||Overall, it is a nice hotel to stay. For the rates which I am paying, I think the value is superb. In terms of locations, there are plenty of places to eat and drink. And the shuttle to Incheon is convenient. And lastly, the staff speaks fluent English...
