Honestly, I lean towards more of a 3.5 Star than 4 Star. Paying more than 230USD per night I expected the highest quality of hotel accommodations, but sadly, I was disappointed. It was good, but in my opinion not deserving of its price.

One, being located in a rather secluded location, they do not have a regular shuttle or third party bus to transport to and from the airport. I wouldn’t have minded if we needed to pay for that, but there was no services available. Two, I am rather annoyed at the inconsistent information provided by the reception. Only one out of three parties were notified of the welcome drink (available in a restricted time slot between 2:30-5pm), so most of us did not get the welcome drink. Further, one of our party was told they had a happy hour drink available but when they were informed upon checking at the poolside bar that only full package customers had happy hour included. 😤 moreover, food is rather expensive (25-40k won per dish) and the concierge only had recommendations for BBQ or grilled fish nearby.. Lastly, on a similar point to the happy hour, for only less than 10k won difference per day, you get breakfast buffet per day. And instead of l’occitaine toiletries, you get toiletries of some other brand.

For me, those negative qualities are sufficient to downgrade the hotel rating to 3⭐️ however, there are still some other good things I enjoyed at the hotel. The infinity pool was 1.2M everywhere, so it’s great for ladies who don’t want to get their face wet to get perfect instagrams. The pool is also heated and everyone there wears long sleeves and makeup so no one will be surprised at the endless photos you might want to take. There’s also a hot spa that’s nice and warm by the pool. The room also has a rain shower and is spacious so you can enjoy a bath with your loved one.

The food is rather tasty at the hotel - barbecue pork, bibimbap, fries, and fried chicken. I did not particularly enjoy the seaweed and uni soup - very expensive and uni just disintegrates in your mouth with not much flavor. The induction cooker also broke when we were ordering dinner, so we waited an hour for food. They did offer us some orange juice while we waited.

For families with young children, there is a small playground with toys and Korean books available.

My favorite part of the hotel was the hidden trail behind the hotel, which my receptionist did not tell me about. You probably want to wear long pants to explore, however, as the grass is dense and goes for quite a long stretch. My legs were in a sore need of a shower after the walk as they felt like they were burning....

The hidden cliff hotel is mostly catered to Korean locals, who drive around in Jeju Island. There’s a pool party every night from 830-10pm which is pretty cool. I would not recommend the place for travelers who prefer an accommodation more worth...

I booked this place for the Jeju views and couldn’t be happier. From the 7th-floor outlook you get it all – Hallasan with the rolling hills, ocean views, sunrise and sunset. Out on the street it feels properly Jeju – clean, leafy, and shady enough to walk around. Most of the big Jungmun attractions are within 4 km (only about 5–6 AUD in a cab), so it’s easy to get about and enjoy.

Breakfast was a treat – loads of sunlight pouring into the open restaurant. The cliff-top pool with all that greenery around is something different too.

Tips: Plenty of Korean hotels restrict pool use with time slots, which can be a bit of a shock. Here, apart from cleaning breaks and “night-club time” (10 AUD entry), you’re free to use it as much as you like.

The place lives up to its “Nature” name – there are quirky little hidden corners everywhere.

Breakfast even had a Jeju pork sausage that’d impress any traveller, plus a proper English Breakfast tea and good milk (unlike the watery taste you sometimes get with Korean milk).

If you book a cliff-view room, you’re basically facing the pool. Just note you’ll hear the music during pool hours and especially at night-club time. On the flip side, the rooms facing the other way have full-length windows that are perfect for soaking up the sunset and the view of Jeju’s oreum (volcanic hills).

A couple of downsides – the hot water and coffee station in the restaurant is a bit cramped, so you might bump into other guests, and the floating timber floor means you’ve got to watch your step.

Not heaps of restaurants around, but the ones nearby (about 10 minutes on foot) are well-known, good value, and full of character. Handy little shop inside the hotel too, plus a bigger convenience store close by – perfect for grabbing...

We based ourselves at the Hidden Cliffs resort for our 4-day stay on Jeju Island – really a great choice. The location is quiet and tranquil, away from the crowds but within easy driving distance of many of the major attractions on the southern coast. Nearby the hotel, within walking distance, are a number of convenience stores and small restaurants, a great alternative to the expensive hotel meals. The hotel was easy to find, with plenty of free undercover parking on site. Our room overlooked the verdant valley below and we had the rising sun shining through our window every morning. Our room was large, bright and airy with a nice balcony. We had all the mod cons you’d expect: AC, TV, free Wifi, fridge, electric toilet, etc. Our bed was super comfy and there was no outside noise at all so we had very good sleeps. We liked the convenience store (7-11) located in the lobby and made use of it several times. The gym is decent, but not great. For cardio gear, there are only 3 treadmills, nothing else. There are a number of decent quality weight machines, a set of dumbbells (to 20kg) and an adjustable bench. We had a couple of weights workouts there and it seemed to work pretty well provided there weren’t too many people inside. Our main complaint was the price of the restaurants on site. The 40,000 Won/person breakfast was exorbitant so we made other arrangements. Likewise we went out for all our evening meals and it cost us half the price of the hotel. Other than that, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to...

Very nice hotel, we had no complaints. The pool was spectacular but of course prices for food and drinks are on the high side. There is a very cool trail that goes into the jungle but sadly, you cannot walk the whole way because it is overgrown. The staff was amazing, I would recommend to stay here for the pool.
