Apollo Guesthouse — Hotel in Seoul

Honestly, if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay in the city this is a spot for you. It was 5-10 minute walk from the metro (depends on one’s walking speed) so if you have a lot of luggage be prepared. In addition, if you have any allergies or asthma I don’t recommend booking this place. Although the room was ‘clean’, no stains, dirt, visible mold, etc, it smelled entirely of mold. It could have came from the bathrooms since it’s a wet room and has poor ventilation but regardless, it triggered my asthma and allgeries. I had a hard time breathing in the room and it took me all day outdoors to recover from sleeping there for one night. My face and eyes were breaking out, which means there must have been dust/ mold behind the walls, the the vents, who knows ¯(ツ)/¯ also, be prepared to find mode of transportation if you have an early flight. Metros open at 5:30am and from that location it would take 1.5 hours by metro and 1.15 hours by metro/ bus. Bus fare is 17,000won so be prepared for that. The hostel offers van services to airport for 40,000 and 80,000won. The AC worked, the towels they gave had a lingering sweat odor, the bed was hard, but hey, i ordered a single room and it was spacious enough for me to have my privacy. There is a small kitchen but it should be cleaned out. People left very old food in there with notes “free” or “take me” when the only free thing should be it’s transport to the trash can. Again? Just want to emphasize if you have allgeries and asthma don’t book here. If you don’t, then go...

I have feeling tuch about this owners have good heart first for good take careful to customers.. when i got lose st on other way for looking for there then he did try taked to find for me on the other way from i were no korea internet phone..it was he gave help to same like safe for me of im long time no back to korea and I have specialist visit korea agreement from AUS for my eyes surgery..ill keeping remember for thank U so much.. And I have so much important something contest of visit in korea..so when I need get ready for it then the Apollo other owner taked help for really i must take order something from korea website already..so I can take more good try the contrast too.. Thank U so much for they have good heart first of relationships. I'll back again..for see them again soon. And this Apollo is so much inexpensive price of good comfortable,quite,every day good taking cleaning,good interior design,good separate each other bad condition,every room into clean bath room,aircondition etc..so good..well see again soon..^^* from...

Mold on ceiling, shower door doesn't close , sink doesn't drain, shower head was broken. Strong musty odor .. they even left ac on it smelled so bad.

Bed was hard and felt like sleeping on boxspring with cardboard?

Constant battle with mosquitos and other insects do to the moisture.

The pretty moon curtain is to hide the wall behind window. Insects look to have landed on the moon ..lol

none of this stuff is oh maybe they didn't notice. They just rented it anyway..

I was kind and gave it two stars because the room itself is reasonable size and well lit (though with all the bugs I was afraid to shut the lights off all 4 days) and the price was OK. Wi fi worked well.

The room I stayed in was the private room with included bathroom.

Thankfully it was just a few days to fill a gap...
