Hi, I would like to start off by saying I rarely leave reviews and I've never left a bad one before.||||I tried to check in on NYE, but was met by one of the rudest staff members I've ever met. I've lived in Korea for many years and I've traveled quite a bit so I'm not unfamiliar with check-in procedures.||||The staff member in question told my partner that everyone needed to provide their IDs not just him (the booking was under his name). Now, we've always traveled together and I've never needed to provide my ID before and on asking him why I needed to provide it he got very defensive and told me it's common knowledge that I needed it. I told him that under the site I booked on it didn't say I needed it so I didn't bring my ID, but he continued to say it didn't need to because it's just common sense. The way he spoke to us didn't convey that we were guests, but rather simpletons that couldn't seem to understand this common sense policy. ||||We asked to see the policy and he proceeded to make us wait for 20 minutes looking for the policy in question. Now, at this point my BF got angry and asked him what he was doing because not once did he speak to us while he was looking for the policy.||||A shouting match then occurred because my BF felt insulted that the staff member not only made us wait, but also seemed to be calling us stupid. ||||Now, I fully agree some hotels do require to see everyone's passport, but they usually state it somewhere and I've stayed in many places in Korea and never have they requested my ID. In fact 15 minutes earlier we checked in our family without them having their ID they checked in with my BF's ID because the booking was under his name. ||||When I told the staff member this he told me all the other hotels/guesthouses/hostels/love motels I've stayed at over the years in Korea were breaking the law and shouldn't have allowed us to stay without me providing my ID.||||It ruined my NYE to be honest and I felt somewhere it should state the policy of every guest having their ids in order to check in. ||||Since I live in Korea I do not carry my passport around and unfortunately I did not have my resident card with me.||||The staff member was really arrogant and rude, because one of the other things he kept mentioning was not only is it a policy here in Korea, but in our home countries. How can he possibly presume to know more about our home country than us especially since he didn't even ask where we from just kept ranting about it being common sense and a...

Read moreI went to the hotel after my day trip which is about 10:00 in the evening and had a hard time finding the place because the instruction going there is incorrect and my phone battery is dead (my bad). From where I am, I was asked to turn right then right. I was walking for 15mins but I feel the direction isn't correct. I even tried to call a cab so I won't spend time walking in the streets in the middle of the night. Good thing I dropped by KFC and talked to someone who speaks English. Instruction should be turn left at the Exit and turn left after the 2nd street. The instruction given to me is a direction from a different exit. But still, I'm thankful that somebody waited for me to check-in before they closed the counter.||||Room is big for 1 person. Bring your...
