I have not taken pictures but I hope these descriptions I provide can help for any newer/NERVOUS travellers. As other people have said, there is probably a new company that took over so renovations are quite fresh. You check in via the tall VERY noticeable yellow building. The receptionist was quite nice and he is situated right in front of the luggage storage (very practical for if you land early aka most cheap flights and you just need to leave luggage before visiting around and checking in later). Check in is at 3:00pm. I lived in the building next to the main building in room 606. Room was clean and very comfortable, great ac. Just make sure you turn on the heater which is close to the floor to get hot water (it heats up the floor at the same time). It was not bad here as there are elevators so people on vacations with large large suitcases are accommodating. I also have to say, there is a GS25 (convenience store) right next to the hotel which is AMAZING. Great, cheap breakfast! The subways are a bit farther though and it is an area with loads of ups and downs which was essentially the only downside for me. Last but not least, my biggest pet peeve, restroom. It was...
Read moreIt's a slightly old building, the main building is the yellow colour at the side and named golden hill instead of the one shown in picture. The staircase and elevator design is not convenient as you need to step up to enter the elevator and step down when u arrive. I believe this Gaon company just took over and did a lot of repair, the two layers tiles in toilet is obvious, all surface are repaired with sticker on. Lastly the pillow might be new hence it is so hard and high to sleep. Despite the cheap refurbish, it is still a good sign that they did it, else will be more nightmare for me. I visit at end of winter, they did not allowed to switch on aircon so the room not ventilated and hard to breathe. Also, talk about winter, the hot water is coming very fast. However, for the price and the location i think i couldn't...
Read moreThe location was really good! A short walk from Sinchon station or Seogang-dae station. The hostel sent an email a few days before my stay and the directions were very helpful. For this price, I think it was a very good value! It was very cold when I was in Seoul (-4°C to 1°C) but the room was always warm with heated floor and heated bed. The room size was just nice for a solo traveller, with a window for natural light. There is no daily cleaning but it's okay as we can collect towels and other amentities freely at the...
