My stay at the WD hotel was pleasant for many reasons. First, the staff. In particular, Seong Yong, who has a good command of the English language and went above and beyond to be sure our stay was enjoyable. From helping us secure a taxi, to printing out a map to help us find a nearby photo studio to get emergency passport photos, we always felt that we could rely on him and the other staff to help us with whatever we needed. Second, the breakfast. It was very good. The spread was varied enough, but still gave us a taste of Korea. And don’t get me started on the kimchi! Delicious! Third, the location. Although the hotel isn’t in the Seoul city center, (about 17,000 to 20,000 won in a taxi), it’s about a 3 min walk to a subway station and has so many shops, pharmacies, convenience stores, and things to do in the area that you’ll hardly care! There was also tons of street food right across at night that kept us intrigued every night. ||The breakfast, however tasty, was always the same. It would be nice if they changed it up a bit more. To be quite honest, for me to say anything else negative would be grasping because our experience at the WD hotel was very pleasant and we would absolutely stay there again the next time...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel for one week and I have to say that I have never experienced such a poor service. Employees simply dont care about customers. I arrived at the hotel in the late morning and asked whether I can check-in earlier; I was will to pay for it as well. However I was told that the check-in was only possible from 3 pm onwards. I went for lunch and returned at a quarter to 3 to ask again for check-in which was rejected. Check-in was only possible from 3 pm onwards! I had to wait until 3 pm sharp to be able to check-in. There were more experiences like this: You missed your keycard in the room? Well, you get a new one for 10,000 Won deposit. I wanted to use the laundry service, put my shirts into the bag I found in my room and filled the respective form. Then I called the reception who told me that they had no laundry service. Rooms are in good shape and clean, but with this service I will for sure not stay again...
Read moreNice, big room for a delux double and the air conditioning works great. Room is very clean (Thank you to the hard working housekeeping staff). This hotel is closest to Sillim Station, exit 6. Take exit 7 (escalator) if you have luggage. The hotel does not have a washing machine but there is a laundromat near the back of the building. The hallways and sometimes the lobby are not cooled and during those times it feels stuffy and smells musty. Bathroom has a large shower stall only. Toilet is so convenient and it flushes automatically after you get up after use. Window can be opened slightly for some fresh air. If you want recommendations for places to eat, see the pictures below.
Owner recommended improvements: Please fix the broken tiles in front of your hotel because I nearly fell twice because of it. You may need to find another company to wash your towels because the current newly washed towels still smell of sweat...
