Almunecar & La Herradura — Hotel in Almuñécar

I booked a 3 bedroom sea-view apartment in Herradura for 3 nights through their website, but they double-booked the apartment and gave the reservation to the other party (claiming it was because they were 8 people and therefore would be more difficult to find an alternative property). They spent a few days trying to offer me other apartments (claiming one was an "upgrade" even though it was in an entirely different part of town, far from the beach) none of the alternatives were at all what I was looking for. They should have just refunded me immediately and allowed me to find something else. When I finally said I was not interested, they did refund me (I actually lost a few dollars because of the exchange rate, due to their double booking). Experiencia desastrosa con esta agencia en La Herradura en Semana Santa. Reservé casi un mes antes un apartamento situado en el centro del pueblo de La Herradura y en primera línea de playa, dado que estoy embarazada y así podía estar cerca de familiares y con buen acceso a la playa y servicios como restaurantes. Tal como hago la reserva me cobran el importe del apartamento, que abono de forma íntegra mucho tiempo antes de la fecha de entrada pero no me dan la dirección exacta del mismo. Contacto en varias ocasiones con ellos antes de entrar en el apartamento, y ese mismo día pregunto en varias ocasiones la dirección del apartamento antes de dirigirme a él, pero en ningún momento me quieren facilitar la dirección. Como tienen unas horas muy limitadas para la entrega de las llaves (si nose recoge en esas horas, hay que pagar un extra), un familiar se acerca a recogerlas, insistiendo de nuevo en que necesitamos la dirección del apartamento, pero no se la facilita. No es hasta última hora de la tarde, cuando ya me encuentro en La Herradura después de más de 3h de viaje, embarazada, tras preguntar insistentemente por la dirección, que me indican que no voy a poder alojarme en ese apartamento y me “facilitan” alojarme en otro totalmente alejado del lugar que yo había alquilado, sin posibilidad de acceder a pie a la playa ni a los servicios del pueblo, de características totalmente opuestas al que yo había alquilado y por el mismo precio que ya había abonado. Cuando digo que no voy a alojarme en ese apartamento, la única opción que me dan es otro apartamento en el que inicialmente me piden 50€ extra/noche. Apartamento que también está situado en el otro extremo del pueblo y que tampoco se asemeja en nada al que yo había alquilado. Posteriormente me dicen que me puedo quedar en ese sin tener que pagar el extra pero ninguna otra solución. Dado que el apartamento no cumple los requisitos básicos que necesitábamos por localización y acceso a servicios, solicitamos que se nos devuelva el importe que habíamos pagado. En un principio nos ponen problemas para la devolución, el motivo es que hemos reservado a través de la plataforma de apandgo. Finalmente conseguimos que se nos devuelva el importe, pero nos quedamos tirados sin alojamiento en La Herradura, lo que nos hizo anular las vacaciones que teníamos previstas y volvernos al día siguiente (tuvimos que gestionarnos el alojamiento por nuestra cuenta ese día). Una experiencia horrible, por la que no recomiendo a NADIE los servicios que ofrece esta agencia: poca profesionalidad, ocultan la información hasta el último momento para dejarnos sin margen de maniobra y que no puedas anular o ver mejores opciones, mentiras sobre el...

This apartment was exactly like in the photos. We arrived there and immediately felt at home! It is very spacious (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) and the view is simply breathtaking! We sat on the balcony (very spacious as well) every evening to watch the sunset which was incredibly beautiful. The apartment is also located in a very quiet and private area which we enjoyed a lot. The beach is only a 3 minute walk away and in April it was very quiet there. We enjoyed our morning, afternoon swims in the sea. There are shops and restaurants in La Herradura (they close for siesta at 2 till 5pm - handy to know if you are not used to it). If you are vegetarian, it can be tricky to find food in restaurants but instead we enjoyed cooking our meals in the apartment which had everything we needed!
