Nice place with very ugly and demotivated staff. The campsite and the surrounding area is beautiful, but we could feel from the first moment that we stepped into the camping that the reception guy and the staff never smiles on us (maybe because we came from the very very dark and east europe). We spent 3 nights at the camping. We always had to pay before we spent a night and as we went there just to feel really free (and as we did not know anything about the site) we decided to pay only for the first night. As the beach, the restaurants, the surrounding area of Barcelona was really nice we decided to spend at least 2 more nights there. Of course we paid the bill before spending the 2 more nights (what in other parts of Europe is not so common at the Campings). After spending the third night we decided to stay for another 1 night before going back to Hungary(as we could not know when we would be able to get back here again). We decided it just before 12:00 - we thought it would be enough to let the camping manager known when we will go to beach, It was 13:00 when we were chillin' next to our tent when the receptionist lady (I don't know her name as she did not introduced herself) stepped next to us and asked how long we are going to stay (on her shoulder there were 2 french nice ladies - I think the new guests), than we answered we'd spend there 1 more night.... The reply came suddenly: - and when did You wanted to let us known it???? (she was shouting) - in the background we could see that at least the half of the other places were empty around us with the same "conditions", We replied calmly: - is there a problem with it that we are here? She said: - you must let us known, because we are full with reservations.... We spent there 3 nights but in that area where we stayed (people with small tents) about the half of the places were empty.... So she said - we are full with reservation - you can beleive me.... We replied calmly: - ok in this case we are ready to leave the camping in an hour. The reply came suddenly: - you don't have an hour....
I think there is no reason to write anything more about the business politics of this camping or the behaviour of the staff there....
I would not recommend any of my friends to go there, because the style of the managers, staff, receptionist (call whatever you want) is below the line....
I can understand anything, there are rules, there is high season...., but a guest is always a guest (and we spent more than 2000 kilometres to get there), so moved to another camping what is about 30 % cheaper, and the owners are much more kind persons. We paid 120 euros for 3 nights and the end of it we were kicked out and we were humbled. I have been many camps around Europe, but never seen anything like this before.
If you are not from France or if you are not from the "rich part of europe" you should never visit...
Read moreWe stayed at Camping Globo Barcelona as a small family: two adults and our 1.5-year-old. We came by car and stayed in a camper that belongs to friends. The pitch was nice and spacious, with enough room to park the car right next to the caravan, which made things super convenient.
What really stood out to us was the hospitality. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and it was easy to communicate with them in multiple languages. The whole campsite feels very well taken care of. It’s impressively clean—like someone is always on standby, ready to tidy up the moment anything’s out of place.
The swimming pools were a big hit. There’s a pirate ship pool for the kids, a large heated pool, and a saltwater pool that’s perfect for cooling down and floating. Our little one loved splashing around, and we appreciated the variety.
The campground is full of trees, which provide plenty of shade, even during the heat of mid-summer. The pool area is cleverly located so it catches a bit of breeze and is partly shaded, which made it really comfortable throughout the day.
One of the best parts for us was how close the beach is. It’s literally right across the road. Within a few minutes, we could go from the camper to the sea with a toddler in tow. That kind of easy access made everything feel relaxed.
We had a fantastic time and felt genuinely taken care of. As a dad, it means a lot to find a place where everything is set up to make things easy, safe, and enjoyable...
Read moreI barely leave reviews but this time I will take the time to leave one. We usually go for pitch with our RV but for our current vacation, our new RV did not arrive on time so we had to book a mobile-home and we were not disappointed.
The camping is really nice, the heated pool is really heated (I usually do not go into pools or see because this is too cold) and I stayed at least 30 mins each time which is close to my PR :)
The staff are really lovely people, always willing to help, I cannot thanks them enough. At the last minute, we asked if we could stay for another night and the staff was able to find a solution as most of the renting were already booked.
The camping is really well maintained, you can see that they spend the right amount of time and money to keep it in perfect condition.
It is very family friendly, with a lot of sport activities available.
The beach is only a 3 minutes walk, you do not have to cross the railway, there is an access that goes under the rails.
I was a bit concerned initially about the railway that is close to the camping but it was never a problem and I think I never heard any train during our 6 days at the camping.
Finally, the train station is 10 mins walk from the camping, you have direct trains going to Barcelona city center every 30 minutes for €10 both ways. This take about 55 mins.
I really recommend this camping and this is now the place for us to go when we go...
