Apartaments Marítim — Hotel in Castelldefels

My family came to celebrate my wedding. The first night they were robbed, by some street guys that climbed all the way to the third floor at night whilst all were sleeping! This things already happened before in this hotel, so the only thing they do is put a sign next to windows that there are people that might enter your apartment and steel! "Great and secure vacations", we should have left this place first night! |Moreover, what surprised us the most, manager of the place didnt even feel sorry or said sorry to us, didnt compensate and on top of it knowing all that still didnt put any cameras or a security at night- that says it all! |The amount of problems you have with the AC, it just too much, you have to close all windows and doors for AC to work and on top of it they have special magnets so if they dont feet properly AC will not work and yes it takes long time to cool down the room! |The only positive thing about this hotel is that rooms are actually clean and view is nice! |The rest - run from this place, you will not have secure and relaxed vacations there! |Only in Spain this type of places can be still open and somehow have a 5* reviews on...

I stayed here with my sister and daughter for 8 days recently and we really enjoyed our stay. We had a one bed apartment on the second floor. It had a lovely balcony with a great sea view. The beds were very comfortable and the staff and Anna at reception were always very helpful. The roof terrace was great to sit out on and the pool although small, was very refreshing. Its' a great base to explore both Barcelona and Sitges from. The station is no more than a 15 min walk away and it takes about 25mins to central Barcelona and 10 mins to Sitges- which is also really worth a visit. I loved the beach at castelldefels, it was about 5km long and you could walk in both directions and not reach the end, after an hours walk. Occasionally they change the flight path into Barcelona, for planes to fly over the beach, but this happened on only 1 day we were there.Great restaurants nearby, we went to Amar restaurant twice which was excellent and such good value. Just spent a wonderful week away with my wife and daughter here and have had a fantastic week. Been using this as a base for going into Barca an it's been ideal.|Got 2 nd floor sea facing apartment which was worth the upgrade. Staff very pleasant and helpful. (Great email Comms from Ana before travel . Thank you!!) Beach front great for nice strolls and was right on your doorstep. Rooftop terrace and pool spotless, nice and quiet for sunbathing and looking out to the beach was easy with glass partitions right down to floor level.|The train station(Platja de Casteldefells) was an easy walk within 10 mins.|5 euros per day return on the train and right into the heart of Barca was ideal! |Loved Barca and still plenty of restaurants local in Platja de Cateldefells for nights we stayed put in resort. We'll be back for sure and would be very happy to return to Apartaments...
