From the moment my husband Dennis and I arrived at OKU Andalusia, we knew we had made the perfect choice for our honeymoon. As returning guests of the OKU family—having previously fallen in love with OKU Kos during two magical summer holidays—our expectations were high. Yet once again, OKU exceeded them in every way imaginable.||We had heard about the opening of OKU Andalusia and, without a second thought, chose it as our honeymoon destination. From the very first moment, we were embraced with such genuine warmth and care. The welcome was simply unforgettable. The charming valet team (whose kindness deserves special mention) greeted us with smiles that instantly made us feel at home. At the front desk, we were welcomed with gracious hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay.||A special thank you to Axel from the Guest Experience Team, who gave us a warm tour of the resort and personally escorted us to our room. There, we were met with our first surprise: a chilled bottle of Rosé Cava, fresh fruit, delicious pastries, and a handwritten note celebrating our honeymoon. The room was a dream—elegantly in tune with the OKU aesthetic, yet delicately infused with Andalusian charm. We immediately felt the soulful, grounding essence that defines OKU: serene, refined, and personal.||One of the brightest stars of our stay was Patricia from the Guest Experience Team. From the very beginning, we felt a sincere connection with her. Her joy, attention to detail, and heartfelt kindness truly stole our hearts. She, along with the entire guest experience team, went above and beyond to make every day unforgettable.||Every interaction, whether with the smiling front desk staff or the wonderful restaurant team at breakfast, was a reminder of how OKU’s greatest strength is its people. Mornings started with a breakfast that was nothing short of extraordinary—fresh, rich in variety, and served with genuine warmth. We looked forward to it each day, not just for the food, but for the joyful energy of the team.||The resort itself is stunning. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed to create an atmosphere of calm and natural beauty. We took countless photos just to try and hold on to the feeling it gave us. But even more precious than the beauty of the surroundings were the moments and surprises thoughtfully prepared by the team. One afternoon, we returned to find our room adorned with rose petals, fresh flowers, an OKU beach bag, a generous fruit bowl, and two refreshing mocktails. It was pure magic—a beautiful gesture from Patricia and the team that left us speechless and deeply moved.||Ana at the front desk was another treasure—her vibrant energy and local tips helped us experience the authentic soul of Andalusia, from music to nightlife. With the help of Axel, our last evening was crowned by a dinner reservation at a breathtaking rooftop restaurant in Estepona, where a prime table had been arranged just for us. We dined with an unforgettable view, the perfect finale to our stay. And yet, OKU had one more surprise waiting when we returned to our room that night—a final, heartfelt gesture to close our honeymoon in the most loving way.||Throughout our 10-day stay (09/08 – 18/08/2025), we were constantly touched by how the team anticipated our needs, celebrated with us, and made us feel like part of the OKU family. The OKU vibe—that perfect blend of understated luxury, warmth, and authenticity—was everywhere. And what truly brings that vibe to life are the incredible people.||We wish we could remember every name, to thank them all personally. |Patricia, Axel, Elias, Sarah, Mireye, Ana, Jose, Jose, Estefania..– each of you touched our hearts in unique ways. You are the soul of OKU Andalusia, and we will carry the memory of your kindness with us always.||This was more than just a honeymoon. It was a journey of connection, peace, and joy—crafted with care by a team that clearly loves what they do. We are already dreaming of returning.||OKU will always be our summer destination, and OKU Andalusia now holds a special place in our story. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts—for the smiles, the surprises, and for making us feel so deeply cared for.||With heartfelt...
Read moreThis is my second stay this summer at OKU Andalusia. The hotel is beautiful but sadly some elements aren’t finished. That said, members of staff are doing everything they can to make up for this, including a cold glass of champagne upon arrival. We stayed in a sea view suite, overlooking the sea and picturesque grassland, with views of Gibraltar. The rooms are very generous, with a large lounge, 2 balcony areas and a HUGE dressing area with plenty of wardrobe space. The second trip was a family of 9, (4 children and 5 adults), staying in the Villa. Which is a STUNNING 4 bedroom accommodation, positioned at the with easy access to the beach, pools and restaurants. 2 large rooms and 2 smaller rooms. Only 2 of these rooms have direct access to the lounge area of the main villa, so worth bearing in mind if booking with small children as access means going outside and back in again with a key card. Unless you’re willing to give up the beautiful Principal room! Hopefully something they will change for next year. The uninterrupted view is stunning and you get to enjoy the sunrise as it lights up the sea as it pops up over the horizon. There is a lovely pool (with a shallow area for smaller children or to play bat and ball) and plenty of space to lay in the sun and watch the boats and activity in the beach below. The interior is stunning and small things such as black out curtains mean you if you miss the sunrise you won’t get woken up by the room being too bright. We stayed half board and the food had a different theme each night. There was also no issue in giving the children something different if they didn’t fancy what was on offer. Also happy to accommodate vegans and vegetarians. Breakfast is also a huge, delicious, buffet style set-up, from cold meats, cheese, to waffles breads and cooked breakfast with eggs of evey style and fruit, yoghurts, seeds and cereals! You won’t go hungry! The Japanese restaurant opened the night before we left and is definitely worthy of a place in Mayfair, London. Lovely, opulent space if you’re looking for a more grown up area to dine. The pool areas are lovely. Perhaps need a little more guidance on the adults only pool, as small children were still in that area. The top pool is larger (albeit a bit cold) and has plenty of room for children to jump in and play. There are also lifeguards walking around, so it makes it feel slightly safer for parents to relax on sunbeds and watch from the sidelines. The beach is sandy (slight volcanic feel) and the sea can be changeable day to day so check the weather before heading down with small children as the current can be strong. When it is calm it’s a lovely place to people watch and enjoy the water (albeit a bit cold, probably due to being so close to the Atlantic). The hotel will also book water sports and sunbeds at one Eden free of charge as the beach club and teenage area is unfortunately not open yet, and neither is the Padel, tennis and children’s area. This is all due to be completed next summer, and if it’s to the same standards as the rest of the hotel then it really will be a beautiful place to holiday adults only, or as a family. I think the teething issues are fairly normal of a hotel of this size and standard when it has just opened, but where I think it overcomes these is in the staff who help. There is a what’s app service to ask questions or book restaurants etc., and they’re fairly quick to respond. Anything you order to the room arrives quickly. All the staff around the pool smile, are helpful and the food service is fast, with a really lovely Mediterranean menu containing lots of fresh salads, burgers, fish, fries. Lots of vegetarian options too. I’ve definitely felt they’ve listened to any issues and they’ve tried very hard to make your stay as seamless as possible. We’ve had staff visit us around the pool or at breakfast, to ensure we are enjoying our holiday and that has really gone a long way to be made to feel your important. Already looking to book again for next year, and excited to see the hotel in...

We originally booked a high-priced villa with a private pool. Two weeks before arrival, the hotel informed us that it was not ready, as the property had only opened on July 1st. We were offered either a downgrade with a consumption voucher or a cancellation.
Property Attractive outdoor areas with modern pools, tasteful design, and plenty of loungers. The luxurious beach bar shown in promotional photos does not exist. Guests expecting a full beach holiday will not find the experience as advertised.
Room Modern renovation but with quality issues: towels shed excessive lint (maybe too new but really annoying).
Dining Two standard restaurants with limited menus; stays longer than a week quickly become repetitive. Many guests choose to dine off-site. Positive: extensive, high-quality breakfast buffet. Restaurant prices are significantly higher than what is justified by the food and service quality.
Service Staff are friendly and helpful, some exceptionally friendly, but operations are not yet streamlined. For example, pool music volume fluctuates considerably often waking up guests from their nap. Overall, training and standardization are lacking for a supposed 5-star property.
Facilities Well-equipped gym. Spa not used, so no evaluation.
Value for Money Premium pricing without delivering consistently on core expectations.
Overall Impression The hotel attempts to be a family resort, an adults-only retreat, and a club-style property at the same time, creating conflicts. Separation between adults’ and children’s areas is inadequate, and pool music is often too loud for guests seeking relaxation. The advertised “Barefoot Luxury” currently feels more like a family-focused hotel. While child-friendliness is not an issue, the high prices should also deliver peace and relaxation. The actual offering differs substantially from what is presented on the website, both in facilities and positioning. The family-oriented nature is not clearly communicated and contradicts the marketing as a tranquil escape. Potential exists, but it is currently unrealized. Management needs to streamline operations, clearly define target audiences, and raise service standards to match...
