This boutique hotel was a really special place to stay in Lloret de Mar!
We were travelling down the beautiful Costa Brava when we decided to extend our stay in the area. Casa Coco came up with some last minute rooms online which really grabbed our attention because of the beautiful modern decor and high quality features shown on their website. We called to confirm there was availability the same day for 4 nights and spoke to some really helpful employees over the phone who helped us complete the booking.
When we arrived just a few hours later, this hotel blew us out of the water. Unlike anything else we had come across in Lloret, the pristine exterior looked modern, trendy and really inviting. The location is around a 10 minute walk from the town centre and beach, but for us with a car it was really well situated for any adventures along the coast. There is secure underground on-site parking for €12.50 a night which appeared cheaper than a lot of other nearby hotels.
Check in was easy and fast and we upgraded our room to a second floor urban jungle room which had a balcony overlooking the lush forest behind the hotel. It really took us away from the tourist seaside town feel of Lloret!
The room itself was absolutely stunning and decorated to a really modern standard with really beautiful finishes including high quality Rituals toiletries, fluffy white towels, a rainforest shower and amazingly comfortable bed.
We cannot fault the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel, with a safe and all expected amenities provided on arrival. There is a mini bar in the room which is chargeable but free water is provided daily which is a really nice touch.
The breakfast every morning from 0800-1000 consisted of a fresh spread of amazing croissants and tortilla, fruits, cereals, meats and cheeses, juices and yoghurts, teas and coffees. The staff were so kind and accommodating each morning.
This boutique hotel also has a stunning spa room on the lower floor which you can book for the jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation room facilities at a really great rate. It was so beautiful we booked it twice during our 4 night stay. I believe they also have massages available to book at additional cost. There is also a funky rooftop swimming pool/bar area available for guests to use which looked great but we were so busy exploring we didn't make use of these!
The staff really could not do enough for us, we felt extremely well looked after by this team, who are a credit to the hotel. We wish we caught the name of all the staff members, the breakfast staff, the reception team and a special mention for the lovely Giselle especially was so kind and helpful, always happy to assist in any way at all - her cheery demeanour is infectious! We would love to return to this hotel again one day and we feel really glad to have found it...

I dont usually write reviews, but we had an incredible 5 nights here. Casa Coco is just as beautiful as the photos suggest. We are in Europe for 5 weeks, and our time at Casa Coco felt like a vacation from our vacation. This place made me feel like a queen. I nearly cried when we had to leave!
Our room was beautiful and clean. The air conditioning worked, and the shower pressure was excellent. There is a mini fridge and electric kettle with tea/instant coffee. Robes/slippers can be rented.
For tranquility, upgrading from the Urbana Room to the Natura Room is worth the money. One side of the hotel looks onto the street, with the interest and activity of the town. The other side looks onto a lush green hillside and garden with birds singing. It's a Mediterranean paradise.
The rooftop pool and bar have a great atmosphere. The hospitality and mixing skill of our bartender, Robin, was at the highest level. The cocktail ingredients are fresh and high quality. But if you get to the pool before the bar opens, just call down to reception, and they will bring something up for you. (Thanks to Gala for the delicious pitcher of Sangria!) 😉
Originally, we were planning to stay in Barcelona. We switched to Lloret because it has more green, cliffside beaches in contrast to more urban beaches, but you can still take a day trip to Barcelona via a 1-hour bus. The 2 main beaches in Lloret are more big and busy with lots of activities. A 15-40 minute taxi ride can take you to smaller, quieter beaches. I think Lloret is a party town on summer weekends, but the hotel is just a little outside the busy parts, so it is more peaceful. There are plenty of amenities nearby (groceries, laundry) as well as places to eat and drink. Take advantage of the local knowledge of the Casa Coco staff because every recommendation they gave us was perfect.
The hotel breakfast is very nice. There are freshly made items, toast, fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, etc. All meals are served in the lovely restaurant. We had 2 dinners there, and both were great. The ingredients are all fresh, and everything is made from scratch. The service is excellent.
Don't skip the massage or spa! We did the 60-minute private spa session. It was a special and luxurious experience. I also had two 60-minute relaxation massages with Kom San. They were the most relaxing massages I've ever had.
Finally, the hospitality is excellent. The staff are detail-oriented and kind and will do whatever they can to accommodate any possible/reasonable request. They called taxis, made reservations, and did research about local amenities for us. We added an extra night and late check-out to our stay, and everything...
Read moreLocation : The hotel is situated in a really quiet spot of lloret but up a steep hill, it didn't bother us as we prefer the peace and quiet. For the first two nights a nearby hotel had some sort of machine running with loud tunes but the doors blocked that out well. Because it is surrounded by a lot of woodland, there were a lot of mosquitos but some spray meant we didn't get bitten as much as I'd first thought we would. ||Atmosphere : The hotel is nice and relaxing, it probably is the most peaceful of the area. ||Facilities : |+ The room was OK but felt small for a weeks stay towards the end. The bed was really comfy and we slept well with the light blocked out. |We used the spa on our last full day and although the spa itself was poor ( they didn't give us the cava we paid for and some jacuzzi jets didn't work ), the massage was fantastic. ||- The cleaning was OK.. three times we had to ask for replacement toilet roll. One day the cleaner actually removed the toilet roll and didn't replace it. The pool area was OK, however, the sunbeds had bird droppings on and were not cleaned. ||Breakfast : Hot food was cold every morning and stale. There was a lot of choice of alternatives though and the atmosphere was nice and peaceful. We became sick of it on day 3. ||Staff : Most staff were nice and pleasant but as soon as we became an inconvenience, it felt like they couldn't stand us. ||Overall - I wouldn't return to this hotel in the future but can appreciate for a couple of nights stay it would be OK. And if you do want peace and quiet away from town, it probably is one of the better ones out of the way. ||And I'd be wary of the 5* reviews, the hotel offers a discount to people returning who leave 5* trip...
