It is not often that I write reviews but Coming from Australia after a 26 hour flight, pick up of rental motor home and arriving at our first Spanish campground, driving on the wrong side of the road etc we were a little rattled. Immediately Vika at reception made us feel at home, allowed us to pick our own site, gave us information about the metro, closest supermarket etc etc. the metro is an easy 10 minute walk and shops surrounding. It is the closest camping to Madrid. 15 stops on the metro to Opera Station probably 45 minutes and the metro is easy to negotiate and we got one 10 trip ticket that we could both use which Vika advised us of. We ate each night in the food truck area with lots of seating and music. Vika made me a special sangria and even baked me 2 baguettes when they had run out.Second day we had the pleasure of being helped by another lovely staff member Tatiana. She recommended wine for us and helped me put the details of our next campground in our gps when I couldn’t work it out and made absolutely certain on her lap top that she was sending us to the right place. In the mornings a lovely gentleman made me cappuccinos and offered fresh croissants and pan chocolats. We stayed for 4 nights and could not have been happier. Every now and then you might hear the odd plane, train or cars but it didn’t appear to be under the flight path even though it is close to the airport. Noise was absolutely not an issue and the campground is surrounded by parkland and we always felt safe walking in the surrounding area. The amenities were very clean, modern and the showers were hot and strong water pressure. It did take me a day to work out that the toilet paper was on the wall outside the cubicles but I live the quirks of individual amenities blocks. We will return to Madrid at the end of our holiday around Spain and Portugal to return the motor home before flying out and we will without a doubt return to stay at Csmping Osuna! The team there, location and facilities in my view...
Read moreIf you need a comfortable place to camp or to stay with your camper, to visit Madrid, this is the place to stay.
The feel you get upon arrival is directly welcoming. Food trucks standing next to the reception and in front of you a well organized camper / camping site. Next to the food trucks you have a in and outside terrace where soft music ads the atmosphere.
So……… if you don't feel like cooking you will have a nice place to Eat, right on your doorstep.
We hardly speak Spanish, so very comfortable that the very lovely lady welcoming us was able to check in, in English. Next To the obvious Spanish they also speak very well French and I expect at least one other language.
We also had a little bite upon arrival, large fresh orange jus, espresso and both a sandwich Serrano ham. Same nice lady helped us, multitasking talent. Everything was of excellent quality.
We were free to look for a spot for our camper. The numbered spaces are for guests that need electricity.
The toilets and shower are new the clever professional units are built to a high standard. Everything worked very well.
We used our own motorbike to go to Madrid. That worked out very well, 20 minutes. Another possibility would be the public transport around the corner. It will also take you to Madrid in about 20 minutes.
If I go back to Madrid I will defenetively stay there again and have another fresh orange jus, espresso and Serrano ham sandwich. One can only hope it will be served by the same...
Read moreReally cute, clean, and convenient campsite with lots of amenities and great access to Madrid city center! We stayed in our camper an on a pitch. The entire facility is very well maintained and clean. There are plenty of restrooms and showers, washing area, and washers onsite. The staff is very friendly and helpful and speak multiple languages. The campsite is located next to a large park with multi-use trails and close to a metro and bus stop with frequent routes into the city center. There is a nice walking path (10 min walk) to the bus and metro stops and is a safe area from what we could tell. The campsite has a really cool bar (live music too!) and snack bar with lots of outdoor tables and great ambiance. There is a small pool and nice playground for kids. You can reserve bread and pastries in the reception area which has a cute little market with a very nice selection of basic supplies (tinned fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, dried goods, beverages, local wine). We stayed in several other city campsites in Spain and this was by...
