One of the outstanding things about this place is their wonderful hospitalera, who speaks great English and is an excellent communicator. We were there on a Sunday and I'd lost something on Camino - she offered to take me to a store when she was able to! Sunday was their market day in town, and I was able to get what I needed there, but her kindness was appreciated.||||They have curtained bunks, which will hopefully become the standard in albergues, because they really help. Using the light in the top bunks still lets light pour out into the room, which isn't good if you're someone who likes to read late, but if you have the ability to read on your iPhone, there are plugs in each of the bunks as well. ||||They have a kitchen area on the second floor and a closet with a stone sink where laundry can be done. There are steps down to the yard from there, where there is plenty of room to hang laundry on the lines. ||||I'd not looked forward to staying in O Porrino because it was said to be industrial and there didn't seem like much to choose from for lodging, but we took the green way in along the creek, and completely bypassed the long road of warehouses and processing plants on the other way in. Read moreit is sometimes what it is. Came with a group, we arrived late. Hard to reach someone to arrange anything. Telephon answer is very nice and helpful, sounds overworked.
The strange thing was on the next morning: We where quiet loud at night, took showers, talked loud and stayed up late. Plenty of reason to give us a hard talk. But no.

He starts to blame here for leaving a Waterbottle lid and some linen wet in our room. In the meantime the rest of the group is standing in front of the coffee and could be approached and blamed for many things.
For us it looked like the host is expecting unreasonable stuff from a woman but accepting bad behaviour of men. And we men behaved bad.
We did not liked that! And how did the host found especially the woman of our group in a cafe 10mins away?!...
Read moreWe stopped there because the albergue municipal was opening only at 15:00. The reception was fresh and climatized so we decided it was a good option. We were asked if we made reservation and when we said no we were said there was 2 beds upstairs. Showers were poor. The beds are incredibly close and the room was like a sauna. The worst was that there were bed bugs. We've seen and killed a few. We left with bugs bites. :( For 12 euros please listen to my word and wait for the other albergue to open or continue your route. On a positive side, the lady at the reception was giga friendly and kind and cool. She helped us a lot. I hate too give negative comments but people have to know and so do...
