This hotel is a real gem in Palafrugell town and offers a calm and peaceful environment close to the town centre. The building is nicely finished with modern amenities and restored old features. We stayed in the Suite Torre de l’Aigua (room 8) which included a double bed, and single bed/sofa and a baby crib, with a separate large bathroom which included a beautiful free standing bath. Whilst tea and coffee making facilities were not available in the room itself, this was not an issue as they were offered in the breakfast room at ground floor level throughout the day. The room also enjoyed a spacious balcony overlooking the small garden and pool area with views of the city. The breakfast was very good and included quality items such as cheese, hams, dried sausages, fresh fruits, homemade yogurt, bread and sweet pastries. The hosts also prepared omelettes for our kids even though they were not included in the breakfast. The small garden is very well kept and in includes a small pool to cool off. Whilst centrally located in Palafrugell town, the town is about a 10 minute drive from the actual coastal hotspots of Calella, Tamariu, and Llafranc so renting a car is a must to visit this area of the Costa Brava (unless you plan on using public transport which we didn't). Parking is available close to the hotel at a charge but we opted for street parking which is either free or against payment according to the duration. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a base from which to visit this scenic and unspoilt part of the Costa Brava.

It’s 10m walking from the center, so very well located. Staff is very nice and helpful. Julia is very smiley and nice. We loved her. Rooms are really comfortable, and beds are big. There is air A/C which we loved and easy to manage. Breakfast was amazing. Sweet or salty you can have different things every day. Variety of fruit, homemade yogurt, 5 different kinds of milk, 4 different kinds of very good cheese, and Catalan ‘sausages’ such as fuet, llonganissa and black and white butifarra. Very good bread and olive oil, and a great coffee machine. Also there was very good sweet pastry with chocolate, custard cream or sugar. The only thing that could be better is the parking, because it’s 15€ per night, and in my opinion should be included in the room price. It was very annoying to look for parking spots every day, it was August and it wasn’t easy to park 2 cars. But anyway the hotel was worth it. Highly recommended!

Our stay was a nice experience. Marina and her team are very focussed on making a pleasant stay. The hotel is nicely furnished. The details make it something special. As a single or couple, we honestly would have found it more pleasant. It was not always relaxed with a toddler, although the hotel itself is child-friendly. However, it was good to explore the surrounding area. It is not far from Callela, Llafranc, Tamariu and on rainy days Begur, Peratellada and Pals offers a lot. The breakfast was extraordinary. Good cheese selection and sausage selection. The breads were delicious and there were always pastries. Fresh fruits were beautifully presented. There was sometimes fresh O-juice. So it didn't get boring. They were also so sweet and made eggs for us, although it was not always part of it. The rooms were made daily. Marina has very nice recommendations, ask her.
