I am a tour guide working for a company in Torrevieja, I have just come back from a 4 day stay here. I took 59 very happy Norwegians. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, the swimming pool was fabulous and some people enjoyed a swim even in October. The food was plentiful with lots of choices, well cooked and very tasty, non of my group had any complaints with any of it and I ate rather too much because it was delicious! |There was a bus every 1/2 hour into Peníscola that ran until 12.00, some people enjoyed walking into town with lots of pit stops on the way for a beer! |We all enjoyed the nightly music and dancing by the swimming pool. The hotel has several more places to enjoy your evening but not all open at this time of year. |I used the spa, 14 euros well spent, a quite large pool with plenty of jets, towels and a robe were included and a nice relaxing area with a choice of teas, you get 90 minutes but no one chased me out when my time was up. |As you can imagine it’s quite hard to please 59 people but they all raved about this great hotel. I’m coming back in the summer with my husband for a holiday! See you again soon and thanks for a lovely relaxing stay and 2 kilos in weight...
Read moreWent here with my own family and my parents. Very nice hotel directly at the beach. Fantastic rooms, great beds, very nice bathrooms with bath and seperate shower. We booked all-inclusive which was very handy for our drinks. Breakfast was very good. We were satisfied with the lunch and dinner buffet but my parents weren't. Honestly there is enough choice but they could do a bit better. What was very dissapointing was the amount of desserts, Practicly none, few pies and that's about it. Also the buffets were really over crowded, too many people and you cannot go as you please, the divide it in blocks to accomodate everyone. We tried the two other restaurants, Mare Nostrum and Trattoria. Mare Nostrum i wouldn't recommend. Very bad food (fish wasn't prepared well at all), clinical place with no atmosphere what so ever. Trattoria was good. Good pizza's and pasta's. Staff al friendly, great views from our rooms on the pool and beach. Another point to take into account, the hotel is really far from Peniscola, to get to the centre it is a 45-60 minute walk. Sure you can take the bus, but this is very very busy most of the times. All and all i wouldn't go here again, but it surely wasn't dissapointing. Very nice place to stay...
Read moreIt started out not so good as the address listed is on the ocean side of the hotel with no signage or access to the building from there, once we determined we had to drive around we found the front desk. The parking space we were given was already taken and quite far from our room. The garage is below ground and very difficult to enter and find your way thru. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was nice and large, however we booked on Expedia which stated the room had 2 king size beds when in fact the whole hotel has only US full size (double beds). The internet was extremely slow and unreliable. The buffet breakfast was lacking and the eggs I got (tried both scrambled and fried) were stone cold. The pool looked really nice and it is directly across from the beach so the location would be great in the warmer months. There were a lot of families there so even though we had a very nice balcony to sit out on we were directly over the playground so the sounds bounced off both towers until about 10PM. The hallways were spacious but tiled due to be on the beach so people walking down the hallways were very loud and their...
