Hotel Rolle — Hotel in Ribadeo

Hotel Rolle appears to have been recently renovated and the lobby and my room were very clean and inviting. The compact hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood with minimal vehicular traffic and I was able to sleep comfortably. There are small cafes and pastry shops only a short stroll away. ||||The friendly proprietor was very welcoming and was helpful with informing me about the low tide times at nearby Praia de Catedrales. The complimentary breakfast is abundant and is also served by the proprietor. As Ribadeo is a small town and the hotel is close to the city center, finding parking can be a challenge. Hotel Rolle is a small hotel in the old part of town, close to the town square, bus station with plenty of eating options. The FEVE train station is about 2km (from anywhere...) but Ribadeo is not a complicated place and people helped us find our way. |The owner/manager, Rolle is hospitable and entertaining, using a translation app to communicate - which can be hilarious... Breakfast and other light meals and drinks are served in the cafe-bar downstairs. Coffee is good. |There's more to Ribadeo than meets the eye. Quite quirky and a little difficult to find as it is in a pedestrian area with no adjacent parking. We were not put off by this as previous TripAdvisor reviews shared their parking experience. It is no big deal - you can unload close by and park five minutes away near the waterside.||||The guy on reception is a gem. All Spanish language but with a combo of talking, acting and his phone app that translates his voice you will have no problems.||||The rooms are well equipped.
