Tried to break this down in to bitesize chunks...so bear with me. Reception Check in is from 2pm. We arrived at 1100 & as you cant check in they have a room to store luggage. There is a changing room complete with shower - can also be used on departure day after check out time. €20 deposit for the beach towels is understandable as prevents theft. There is €1 charge to have them exchanged for clean ones. Restaurant Breakfast 0800 to 1030 Split down in to sections that the hotel management deem approriate. Healthy options in the diet corner, the majority is for the continental Italians/French/Spanish etc who would eat a healtheir breakfast (Cheese, bread, Cava, ham, chorizo etc) than British and Irish. The British/Irish breakfast selection is hash browb, English Sausage (pork sausage), beans, sautè mushrooms, fried egg or scrambled egg. Omlettes are available but not to order - either plain or depending on the alternate day it there will be a cheese or tuna omlette. Tea and coffee available from machines along with pure fruit juices and water. Dinner 1830 to 2130 Again, split down in to sections with the kids corner offering fish fingers, chicken nuggets or some othrr european kids option with the usual chips and red sauce. Plenty of meat and vegetable options along with a wide range of desserts. The dinners are very good. The staff in the restuarant are very friendly and clearly very hard working - both waiters/waitresses and chefs. Swimming Pools/Sun beds Indoor pool is small and a swimming cap is mandatory - didnt have a swimming cap so wasnt allowed in (I'm as bald as the Dodo is dead so work that one out). Outside - small kids pool which spends most of the day in the shade so the water is freezing. Great for babies up to 2 years. Beside the baby pool you have a larger pool. No shallow end as such as is the pool is used for the entertainment team to do water sports. You then have the main pool. It was a pirate ship with 3 slides. Slides are good for adults and kids alike. They arent huge which is good for the younger kids, but big enough that the bigger kids enjoy them too. Sun beds cannot reserved and the pools are not opened to 1000 - they are very strict with this. So at 0955 you have a build up of people queued to wait for the pool to open and then dash to secure their beds of choice. Animation Team I didnt have a lot of contact with these guys or girls as my 2 year old was too young for the kids club. However, the energy they express is impressive. From 1030 hours when they first come out dancing with Daisy (hotel mascot) until they finish around 2300 they are constantly dancing/joking/messing around and ultimately entertaining. Entertainment A bit of a let down really. The shows that the hotel have secured are nothing more than outdated, boring and a waste of time. I'm trying to find a positive but unfortunately I'm struggling and dont want the only positive to be that they all eventually finish. Bar/Bar Staff Again, these guys work long hours and work very hard. Often seen from 1000 to 0100 walking a doing a great job. The prices can be inflated. The beer on tap isnt great. Very flat but only €2.80 per pint so cant complain too much as it matches its price. Rooms In a nutshell they are clean and basic. There is a small fridge in all rooms however no tea or coffee making facilities. You have to buy these at reception for around €15. Cleaned every day and normally very quick to be done if you leave the card out. Location Situated in Cap Salou. About 40 minute walk to Salou or La Pineda - 5 minutes on the bus. Cap Salou itself only had 3/4 shops and bars and for as it is in avalley there is no breeze so always very warm. Gym Isn't worth talking about. Equipment is old and some disfunctional. Summary Not sure of I would come back - i think anyone looking at coming here should definately consider the Sirenis Seaview Hotek in Ibizas Porta des Torrent which is also a family hotel in a family resort but offers the full package.

Review of H10 Mediterranean Village This was my third stay at H10 Mediterranean Village, but my first in eight years — and sadly, it will be my last. The positives: the hotel itself looks impressive, with beautiful pools, a waterfall, and the water park out the back which was a massive hit with my 4-year-old son. My 11-year-old daughter enjoyed the facilities too. The entertainment team were excellent — upbeat, friendly, and genuinely great with kids and adults. My son loved Daisy the mascot. The pizzeria was also a nice spot to eat outdoors; that was one of the better parts of the stay. But overall, there were far more negatives than positives. I travelled with my son who has additional needs, and despite what you read online, there was no extra support for families like ours. We were placed on the 4th floor, which gave me serious anxiety with the balcony. The doors don’t properly lock from the inside — once you’re in the room you can just pull the handle and it opens (a fire safety feature). For me, this was terrifying. My son could have opened it at any time and run off. Luckily I brought my own safety lock, otherwise I wouldn’t have had a moment’s peace. There really should be a chain or secondary lock for families. The apartment itself was in shocking condition. The walls were manky, the bathroom mirror was broken, and the sofa was so filthy I turned it around and covered it with a sheet before sitting on it. The wardrobe drove me insane — it wasn’t on the runner properly, kept getting stuck, and by day four I was ready to scream. The TV was ancient, no casting, and not a single English channel. For the price we paid, the room should have been in much better condition. The beds were honestly the worst I’ve ever slept in: cheap, skinny, rock-hard, and extremely uncomfortable. The bedding and pillows felt horrible, and my husband barely slept all week. Even when the beds were “changed,” they still didn’t feel clean. I came home destroyed in bites and felt itchy every night, which made me wonder if it was from the beds. For the standard H10 claims to have, this is not acceptable. The air conditioning barely worked. Even after I complained, staff brushed it off saying it was “18 degrees” — but the room was stuffy and uncomfortable for the whole stay. The staff were another big disappointment. Many were miserable and unfriendly, especially the women in the main restaurant who never cracked a smile and made meals feel uncomfortable. The man in the middle-floor restaurant was rude and dismissive, the women by the pool-side restaurant weren’t much better, and even the bartender came across moody and unwelcoming. The only exception was the entertainment staff, who were genuinely fantastic. At the pools, the lifeguards were extremely strict. The woman at the main pool was constantly blowing her whistle for every little thing, with a miserable face to match. It was relentless. At the upper pool, I understood the stricter rules because of the drop, but overall it killed the fun atmosphere. On top of that, all the pools were absolutely freezing — the indoor pool felt like a cold plunge, and even the outdoor pools were uncomfortably cold. Food was hit-and-miss. The pizzeria was lovely, but the pool bar food was rough. Overall, the dining experience was let down by the atmosphere and staff attitude. In the end, while the grounds, pools, and entertainment staff are strong, everything else was a huge let-down — the shabby apartment, dreadful beds, poor air con, miserable staff, freezing pools, and no real consideration for children with additional needs. Hugely disappointing, and I will proble not return.

Despite our ages we had never been abroad before. We had high hopes for this place as a friend goes their almost every year. Despite the beauty of the area, more Cap Salou than Salou, and the wonderful beach just a few hundred metres away, I was sadly disappointed. For example, we reported a bedside electrical socket (which intermittently sparked & crackled so much, usually at night, it lit up my bed) on 3 different occassions. 1st time electrician just shook it slightly and said (in broken English) "It's is ok" and kept this up all through my description of the problem. 2nd & 3rd time nothing was done, still sparking when I left. Our room was the only 1 not ready at check-in despite being kept waiting for 3hrs and told to come back at a set time. The bed settee reeked of urine and wasn't changed until 9 days after we 1st mentioned it to staff. The heavy blankets smelled of urine too and were never replaced, but we didn't use them anyway. One day the house staff took all our towels, put them in a pile in the bathtub, and just left them there. Most of the staff were amazing, 99% of them, especially the enthusiasm & patience of the entertainers (dyed blonde at front desk could do with a course in politeness and a smile-ectomy). I hope H10 realise what they've got really there re staff, namely a wonderful group of dedicated, hardworking people. Everything else about the hotel was excellent; beautiful & spacious rooms with beautiful & spacious balconies, brilliant pools, amazing rooftop jacuzzis, smashing heated indoor pool with steam room & sauna, great gym and cracking entertainment. We were thinking of going back next year but we just don't think we can. Returned home 2 days ago and feeling more negative about it as the hours pass. We had hoped H10 were better than this; H10 Mediterranean Village isn't always like this, is it?

Glad to be home after our 10 night stay (and a first for us) at H10. Unfortunately we won’t ever be returning. ||Check in was efficient and close to the airport, lobby was pretty impressive also. Staff were friendly and seem to work hard.||However as a family of 5 with 3 children (age 10,7,4) we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. Apparently suitable for 5. What an unpractical, misleading advertisement that was. It is not suitable for 5 guests.||Firstly, there were only 4 chairs and a table in the “kitchen area”…for 5 people. Meaning 1 was sat on the sofa/bed to eat and drink. With 3 sofa beds in the ‘living area’ there was no room for anything else. There were only 2 seats on the large balcony which was a waste of space also. Especially when there is 5 of us! Although we had to store suitcases there due to lack of space. In addition there were only 3 plates, bowls, cutlery set, cups etc…for 5 people and we were constantly washing up to allow another family member to have a drink or eat. The kitchen itself had no storage at all. The bin was next to pans and an old dustpan/brush and toaster, in the only cupboard available! The freezer compartment of the fridge/freezer desperately needed defrosting and was unusable and leaking water every day. Nothing was ever frozen. There was 1 plug socket and so if you wanted a cuppa and a piece of toast you were constantly swapping plugs around and getting the toaster out the bin cupboard. For 5 people in the morning was a complete joke.I’m glad we didn’t have a baby when you need the extra sockets for warm milk etc. you had to use the 4 seater table to prepare any type of food as well as use it for food storage. There was nothing. It was so unpractical and tedious day after day. The hob was directly next to the sink so there was nowhere to prepare anything. It is NOT suitable for 5 and I don’t see a benefit from a 2 bed apartment to return again (apart from an extra bed which won’t change the “kitchen” issues). We had to wash up on arrival as cups had stains and lip gloss on them! There was not enough cutlery, as already mentioned but there was only a broken tin opener, blunt knife and a ladle in the drawer-What can you cook with that???||The room itself was kept clean as best as we possibly could, as cleaners did not clean/visit every day like others have mentioned in reviews and therefore bins left full (with 5 people) on a couple of occasions, for example. ||The bathroom was a nightmare. No ventilation, grout missing, limescale, brown hair everywhere and mould. The shower leaked all over the floor. Desperate need for an update/renovation.||Also zero soundproofing in the room ensures you hear every single step outside and also inside your room ALL day AND night. Next door chatting/shouting/laughing until 01:00am, kids screaming, kids running up/down hallways, floor above/next to you toilet flushing, you can also hear all “number 1’s and 2’s”, phone alarms etc. The beds were also rock hard and uncomfortable and you don’t even get a blanket just a sheet like in a hospital! it was again tedious and incredibly noisy! We were desperate for a decent sleep. It never ended.||Then there was the sun bed saga. You have to queue at least from 09:30am. Some got there for 08:30am! There was then 40+ people running from all 4 entrances as soon as it opened at 10am. My 4 year old and 7 year old were hurt and bruised by this, and nudged out the way. If you were “lucky” enough to get through that for the sake of a sunbed…there was the constant whistleblowing from lifeguards. As a neurodiverse person it was excruciating. It was excessive. It was over the top. You cannot go down the slide together or on your belly-yet a running jump kick was allowed and a high 5 from a lifeguard too. You can’t sit at the pool side edge, you can’t play with toys or use floats, you can’t play any ball games and two kids were removed from the pool for wearing a T-shirt! and so on….it was something we never experienced before and clear that the lifeguards were just bored. Especially as they spoke about guests on their radios to one another and especially after making the kids get out the pool to publicly shame them, especially the female lifeguard who was quick to radio their mate to tell them at another pool whilst pointing at them! It was pathetic. Needless to say we never bothered again. ||The pools were also freezing. Water park was worse. Our son has a heart condition and this ruled out his holiday as it made him unwell and blue around the mouth-Even in 28C heat! ||There are signs to say not to reserve beds-but people do and never return. No-one actually does anything about it. Especially if you have a ‘H10 towel’. No-one touches those especially. Must be a special privilege! There were a lot of them and never anyone nearby! None were ever removed.||In addition, pool toilets in a horrible state throughout the day, not cleaned nearly enough. Urine and tissue paper all over the floor. Disgusting.||The supermarket on site was very basic-crisps, fizzy pop, chocolate and nuts etc however butter was €5! You can buy water guns-which you can’t use in the pool! Ice creams worked out to €16 for 5! We used it once. We went down the road instead to the supermarket next door (coaliment?) and even used the one nearer the restaurants (Michelangelo?) further down the steep hill as it was much bigger.||The location itself was ok. Very isolated however if you have young kids or even mobility issues. However apart from only 4-6 restaurants there was nothing else: Cap Salou-the BEST pizza we have ever tasted (as a takeaway) and went back three times more for a meal in, as well. Highly recommend! There was also Route 66-Again delicious, the Mexican restaurant and Tropical restaurant-Was again beautiful! However when you can’t cook in your room and there is no space to even prepare a meal, these are the only restaurants nearby unless you walk 45 minutes the other way and with 3 kids in 30C heat that was not possible. Burgers, pizza, and Mexican food is just that after 10 days repetatively. Despite being worth every penny.||The hotel buffet restaurant we never went to as they wanted to charge us €40 each adult and €20 for each child!!!! Much cheaper to go down the road and eat where we knew was delicious and much cheaper for 5 people. Even if it was the same each time. However safer than Salou!||There was a small cove nearby for the ‘beach’ but was usually full. The actual beach was a €43 bus trip or a 45 minute walk and was full of pickpockets. It was also very, very busy. Restaurants were more expensive also that way. We had to hold kids hands so tight! ||At night, we went to the entertainment for 1 night only and the kids asked to leave after 30minutes. It is only in Spanish. So unless you can understand that or the theme tune of the songs, tough basically. There was no other entertainment than this.Arguably just because we didn’t enjoy doesn’t mean others won’t. Definantly more for younger guests. ||Servers come round and take a drinks order-You pay with a ‘top up’ on your wrist band. However we were conned twice with being charged for drinks we never ordered and were never brought to us. All denied of course, even with a receipt. Both during the day and night. Lesson learnt! Never again.||There is a tap you can re-fill water bottles throughout your day by the pool…however again a con to get money out of you as we had to pay €5 per bottle (for 5 people €25!) to fill them up. You can only use hotel bottles. Again just ridiculous. The metal of the bottles cut my son’s lip and 4 year old’s nose as they were too big and were not suitable for young children generally.||When raising concerns with staff, generally responses were no-one else has complained, the hotel is full or we will send to your room (and then never arrived). Just as other reviewers have mentioned…a waste of time.||Overall, we won’t be retuning and it is not suitable for families of 5. We were overall very disappointed with the whole stay and are so glad we are now back home. We would...

Tried to break this down in to bitesize chunks...so bear with me.

Reception

Check in is from 2pm. We arrived at 1100 & as you cant check in they have a room to store luggage. There is a changing room complete with shower - can also be used on departure day after check out time.

€20 deposit for the beach towels is understandable as prevents theft. There is €1 charge to have them exchanged for clean ones.

Restaurant

Breakfast 0800 to 1030

Split down in to sections that the hotel management deem approriate.

Dinner 1830 to 2130

Again, split down in to sections with the kids corner offering fish fingers, chicken nuggets or some othrr european kids option with the usual chips and red sauce.

Plenty of meat and vegetable options along with a wide range of desserts. The dinners are very good.

The staff in the restuarant are very friendly and clearly very hard working - both waiters/waitresses and chefs.

Swimming Pools/Sun beds

Indoor pool is small and a swimming cap is mandatory - didnt have a swimming cap so wasnt allowed in (I'm as bald as the Dodo is dead so work that one out).

Animation Team

I didnt have a lot of contact with these guys or girls as my 2 year old was too young for the kids club. However, the energy they express is impressive. From 1030 hours when they first come out dancing with Daisy (hotel mascot) until they finish around 2300 they are constantly dancing/joking/messing around and ultimately entertaining.

Entertainment

A bit of a let down really. The shows that the hotel have secured are nothing more than outdated, boring and a waste of time.

I'm trying to find a positive but unfortunately I'm struggling and dont want the only positive to be that they all eventually finish.

Bar/Bar Staff

Again, these guys work long hours and work very hard. Often seen from 1000 to 0100 walking a doing a great job.

The prices can be inflated. The beer on tap isnt great. Very flat but only €2.80 per pint so cant complain too much as it matches its price.

Rooms

In a nutshell they are clean and basic. There is a small fridge in all rooms however no tea or coffee making facilities. You have to buy these at reception for around €15.

Cleaned every day and normally very quick to be done if you leave the card out.

Location

Situated in Cap Salou. About 40 minute walk to Salou or La Pineda - 5 minutes on the bus.

Cap Salou itself only had 3/4 shops and bars and for as it is in avalley there is no breeze so always very warm.

Gym

Isn't worth talking about. Equipment is old and some disfunctional.

Summary

Not sure of I would come back - i think anyone looking at coming here should definately consider the Sirenis Seaview Hotek in Ibizas Porta des Torrent which is also a family hotel in a family resort but offers the...

Last minute getaway.

We booked this 3 days before our arrival. It is not our usual holiday destination/style. But we wanted some sunshine at short notice.

The hotel – We arrived at 1045am and was a pleasant check in experience, we couldn’t get the room until 3pm, which was not a problem. There is a luggage room with large lockers, where you can leave all your belonging for 2 euros. We got changed and went and explored. Word of advice, do not go back at 3pm to check in, leave it an hour like we did. We didn’t have to queue at all, got our room key and we were situate in a room on the first floor, ideally located at the very end of the corridor. Room was clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom was clean, big, and a nice touch with shampoo, shower gel and conditioner supplied in large bottles. As well as handwash and hand cream by the sink, also in large bottles. There is a small beer fridge in the room, which is ample for cold drinks, not much room for anything else.

The balcony was pleasant and had patio furniture a long with a clothes dryer. We liked that hotel was not all inclusive, so the usual holiday makers that drink too much, were non-existent. The hotel operate a pay as you go for drinks, and is 100% cashless throughout the hotel, including the on site supermarket. You can load money on to your room, which we did then just use your wristband to pay for drinks, snacks and supermarket when needed. This was also for drinks purchased at dinner. Thought this was a great idea. The drinks are reasonable price for a hotel, and the beer is estrella on draught, which I liked. Check out is 12.00pm, you can still use all facilities.

The restaurant – The food was fresh at breakfast and dinner, plenty of options, even for the fussy eaters. We liked the single ingredient and fresh food options they had. Only negative is the walkway between the food counters. We noticed a lot of people bumping in to each other, and barging around instead of being polite and waiting their turns. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and patient with guests. Not sure I could have been, with the guests that clearly have eyes bigger than their bellies and then leave the mess for the staff to sort. The staff dealt with this brilliantly when we witnessed down right arrogance from guests. The drinks are served quickly. There is plenty of space, but it gets busy around 7.30pm so avoid this time.

The hotel staff – 100% FIVE STARS from me – they were brilliant. Even the grumpy looking older barman was a teddy bear really.

Entertainment – It is definitely geared up for the younger children, although the entertainment includes acts for the older generation also. I can not comment during the day, because we were off walking and sightseeing every day.

Location – Cap Del Salou is ideally situated away from any busy areas. Hotel next door is the Sun club, which has a decent supermarket and bar also. It is only a 30 to 35 minute walk in to Salou if that’s what you’re after. The bus stop is outside the hotel also, which is 10 minutes in to Salou. There is also a tourist road train, which you can catch for a bit of fun for the kids. Beaches are a plenty, and most have bars next to them for refreshments. We only walked through Salou, as it isn’t for us (too busy with annoying drunk people, and people who want you in their bars.

I would highly recommend a visit to the town of Cambrils. Around 10km from the hotel. We walked with a few pit stops, but you can also catch a bus from outside the hotel, or even a water taxi from Salou, which I think is 9 euros each. Cambrils is beautiful, the restaurants on the front have gorgeous view of the harbours and beaches.

So for us we rate our stay at H10 Mediterranean village 5 stars for our 6 nights stay 18th – 24th July 2025. Would we go back? Yes

PS my wife is a snob, so for her to agree with my review...
