We were travelling from France back to our home town and needed to stay overnight somewhere close to the motorway before travelling on. ||I must say, at the outset, that the room was clean, large and comfortable with good bathroom facilities and there was secure car parking. The room was quiet (we never came across any other guests there and cannot comment on the quality of sound insulation) and the sleep quality was good.||Unfortunately, the motel is situated on a piece of waste ground facing the motorway and is quite difficult to find without a SatNav.||As this is a motel (why is it advertised as a hotel on Trip Advisor and Booking.com when the huge sign on the front of the hotel says 'Motel Luve??), there is no place such as a lounge to sit in and there is no breakfast room either. When we asked the receptionist, who by the way was extremely helpful, where we could have dinner, we were informed that there was 24-hour room service and the food would be brought up to the room. On looking at the menu, we found that there were pizzas, sandwiches listed along with various sex aids. This, along with the the rotary serving hatch beside the door of the room where, the ordered food would be deposited, the garages with doors which led straight up to the rooms were a strong clues as to the clientele the motel targeted.||This did not bother me but what did was that||1. Though the reservation form emailed to me by Booking.com clearly stated that the room was 'strictly non-smoking', the room was smelling strongly of smoke. It was obvious that people smoked in the rooms as there was no smoke detector installed and the receptionist was surprised to hear that the room smelt of smoke as they regularly used a spray to get rid of the smell and||2. the nearest restaurant was 7km away in L'Eliana (information supplied by the receptionist & confirmed by the taxi driver) whereas it clearly stated in the description on Booking.com's website that a supermarket and restaurants were accessible within walking distance (10 minutes on foot, it said). We opted to take a taxi as our car was loaded with stuff and spent 24 Euros in the process.||What customers would like is information which is factually correct so they can make a choice. I hope Booking.com will take...
Read moreFirstly, This is a motel, not a hotel. No bar, no restaurant and situated in the middle of an industrial estate so nowhere pleasant to go for a stroll. Check in was difficult, needing an access code on a screen to get in ( which we didn't have) so ended up searching for a member of staff round the back to get through the barrier. The room access was bizarre , had to drive into an individual garage with roller door, once closed the room was reached by stairs at the back of the garage. When in the room, it became very clear why the private access was necessary, and what the place is used for. Very handy away from prying eyes and car hidden behind garage door instead of on view in a car park. I have never before seen a leaflet showing various sexual positions, complete with special "sofa" in a hotel room, but there was one here. switched the TV on and straight onto porn channels with no warning given, we were not offended, but something to be careful of if travelling with a family. ||Room itself was clean, good size, big jacuzzi bath with candles round it, nice towels and comfy bed. Room service was apparently available but could not find a menu. Thought the room expensive at 189 euro for one night, no breakfast included, no tea/coffee facilities. We had already paid in advance otherwise probably would have gone elsewhere.||Would not stay here again, found it rather sleazy. I wouldn't class it as romantic in any way, The notice in the bathroom stating that the room was given a "deep clean" using pure oxygen and ozone after each use as protection against viruses and bacteria was...
