For the most part a very good hit with just a few niggles. Staff are excellent. My wife left her iPhone in the taxi that brought us by 45.minute taxi ride from the port of San Sebastian. Reception lept straight into action and contacted taxi company. We had a call later to say the taxi firm had the phone but would not return it to the following day. At 9.40pm after dinner had another call to say they had it and they then delivered it to our room some 10 minutes later by porter. Lost for 6 hours in total. Thank you. All other staff we encountered were happy to say Halo. Many had some English but they appreciated done Spanish from guests. Room 375 is a 2nd story room at front but accessed at back on ground level due to floor of ground. A great unobstructed Seaview apart from 2 trees. Great sir conditioning, mini bar, massive canary style double bed. Small bathroom with WC, dink, over bath shower and bidet. This room is opposite a linen store for maids so as often women between 8am and 8.30am by their chatting. Grounds are lovely with lovely gardens, shrubs, palm trees and grass area. Set on sloping hill down towards s cliff there are many steps and steel slopes. Be aware. Breakfast was served in one of 2 restaurants. It appeared the lower large one was used when busy and the upper outside restaurant on week days when less busy. There is a pool bar serving snacks. We ended up having an ice cream Sundae each day at 5om with s cold drink. Evening meals were buffet style in larger lower restaurant with outside balcony. There were 2 other restaurants we did not try. Food quality for all meals was very good. The choice was s little limited. Drinks are waiter served at your table for all seated meals. Coffee served at breakfast was nice and string. 2 bars for after dinner breaks. One outside that attracted all the smokers. A second bar inside near reception was much quieter. Waitress service. Good luck tails, coffee and hot chocolate. A spa pool.that no one used due to 30euro entrance fee looked lovely. Make this adults only and would be great. 1 large main pool.in 3 sections. Swim up bar and outside jacuzzi. Cold. Got very noisy at times with pool activities arrround lunchtime. Quality of poolntowrls varied. They could be changed each day. There was a lack of shade artound the pool. However, there were plenty of dun beds at all times. We travelled with TUi and there was no sign of a rep through out our 10 days. We had a 6sm departure for the 7.30am ferry back to Tenerife. Bags were picked up by porter at 20pm the evening before and ready at reception for our taxi ride. So many stars. Dark skies so brilliant views. Hotel us isolated so not many excursions other than hiking. WiFi is good in lobby bar but spotty in bedroom. Good phone reception though. A lovely hotel with 10 days of great weather in mid May.

Fabulous Hotel Great Location and The Wonderful Anne-Tina! Our first time on La Gomera and we must have picked the best place to stay on this beautiful island, quite different to any other in The Canaries. This is a large hotel set on the top of the cliffs with spectacular views and great walks, even it’s own banana plantation! It has it’s own lovely golf course as well. Despite covering a massive area, and with lots of accommodatdation, the public areas never seemed crowded (naturally breakfast and dinner buffets will be at times) so it can be quite peaceful. An important point to note is that two of the restaurants are off the beach at Club Laurel. There is an amazing lift down bored out of solid rock but there are still steps and it can be quite steep in parts. Not ok for wheelchair access. For dinner, you can upgrade to a gourmet pass allowing access to three a la carte restaurants for the six course tasting menus which vary day to day. With these if you want to go a la carte instead, there is a 25% discount off the menu. Food was great at these and whilst the buffet (inc with HB) is probably better than most, it is still a buffet but with lots of choice and varies every evening. The rooms all seem to have sea views, we chose a more exclusive area with its own pool, comfortable four poster double loungers and close to the room with two spas as well! Rooms were clean though servicing could be hit and miss at times. Two bottles of water only provided (a little mean) but you can buy it from the shop or across the road. Nice coffee maker but allowance of just four pods for two weeks, however, you can buy more! The hotel had a big refurbishment last year and it is very well done throughout The IT may need to be next on the list as we had a few issues with the restaurant booking system, basically it doesn’t work but the ever helpful staff on reception (Lucille was a star) will book for you. You must book and ahead as well. Other issues like room cards a problem on our first night and other minor stuff. Needs looking at. The staff are outstanding. Everyone was always helpful courteous and fun to engage with, a real credit to whoever trains them. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they all work so hard constantly. So well done and thank you! There are a lot reasons to return, but the big draw would be beautiful Anne-Tina a celebrated Danish musician who plays the Grand Piano most evenings in the bar. Listening to her melodies in the evenings was the perfect end to wonderful relaxing days. Thank you for the Music as the song goes.

After reading a few bad reviews about the hotel, I started doubting a little bit. But that doubt disappeared as soon as we got there. First of all, the hotel is one big, but cosily set up property. Rather than one large building it exists out of small houses, layered in a terrace style fashion, going down towards the sea. We stayed in the adults only villas, over Christmas, having a separate pool. It was lovely. We had a little house that could sleep 4, two floors with 2 terraces and upstairs on the roof an extra sunterrace. The area around the pool was tastefully done, with bed-like sunbeds, a small pool, 2 jacuzzis(not heated) and a lifeguard. It was very peaceful. The main building of the hotel hosts two restaurants, that cater for all the hotel guests on full and half board. It is a combination of a buffet and stands with pancakes and smoothies, eggs in the mornings, and fish and meat grill in the evening. Yes, it is still a buffet, and sometimes the meat might be a bit dry or something might not be as you like. But the choice is so plentyfull, honestly if you can't find something you like to eat there, there is something wrong with you! There is even a vegan corner. One can stroll down and take the elevator to the pool area below, where there is also a great restaurant or cave dining. I had 2 excellent massages ( had many disappointing hotel massages over the years, but Montserrat did a great job) We played the golf course 5 times, my husband is handicap 8 and not easy to please but was very happy with the terrace like set up, beautiful plants, lovely holes, and good condition. So, to wrap it up, we had a lovely stay at Tecina and are in total awe of the huge staff, spending months away from their families, working hard to deliver a great experience to their guests. Special thanks to them.

Having traveled extensively, I can genuinely and wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Jardín Tecina to anyone looking for a peaceful escape, far from the crowds of mass tourism. Tucked away on this little paradise in the Canary Islands, the hotel offers a rare combination of authenticity, beauty, and comfort. I’ve just returned from a one-week stay with my 7-year-old grandson, and honestly, everything was close to perfect—especially considering it was peak season.||We stayed in an Oasis room with half board, which was ideal for us. The main buffet restaurant Las Viñas offered a wide variety of dishes, and we always found something we enjoyed. I’m genuinely surprised by some of the negative reviews about the food—it was consistently good, fresh, and plentiful. In fact, I’ve stayed at 5-star hotels that didn’t come close to this level. For variety, we also dined at La Trattoria at the Club Laurel Beach Club—great pizza, excellent quality, and wonderful service.||Speaking of service: the staff truly made our trip memorable. My grandson was greeted warmly by almost every team member we passed. The kindness and attentiveness from the staff, especially Jaime, Neuri, Mari Carmen, Miriam, Omar, Alberto, and Sergio, stood out. We may have missed a few names, but we won’t forget the smiles and warmth. A huge thank you from both me and Luca—he sends his greetings and already wants to return!||The hotel itself is beautiful—tastefully renovated, with lush gardens, well-maintained facilities, and stylish rooms. Despite being fully booked during peak season, we always found "semi-peaceful" corners. While the kids’ pool area was lively and full of energy, we never encountered any rowdy or disruptive behavior—it was a cheerful and respectful atmosphere throughout. Most guests were Spanish, Canarian, German, and a few from the UK, making for a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.||Our room (113, near the main pool and buffet) was modern, spotless, and very comfortable—even without an ocean view. Its location was especially convenient for us with a child.||We also rented a car to explore the island—highly recommended if you’re comfortable with mountain roads and the occasional steep drop! Highlights included visits to Hermigua, Valle Gran Rey, and flying my drone at Playa Santa Catalina and over the Pescante Hermigua—simply stunning.||Traveling with a child, I really appreciated the newly built kids’ pool with a waterslide—an absolute favorite among the little ones. My grandson made plenty of friends, and the warm, child-friendly attitude of the staff made it feel like home.||In summary: This was one of the most memorable vacations I’ve had—and certainly one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at, not just on La Gomera but in all of the Canary Islands. If you’re seeking peace, authenticity, and excellent value, Jardín Tecina is the place to be. We’ll be back—hopefully very soon. Thank you for a truly...
