tayed for 8 Days it was a nice hotel but wasn't blown away in fact here's our experience.... Pros Staff around resort always greeting guests & friendly Rooms had plenty of space & fantastic storage (garden deluxe) Wifi was the best we'd come across in any hotel we stayed at, good speed, constant no dropouts & fantastic range Gym facilities are excellent - plenty of room Pool is lovely and views The Cone has lovely seating area for sunset Pershing bar had great food - salmon starter and black cod was excellent Tender loin from The View restaurant - outstanding Aircon in rooms fab Room service is fast Cons The Villa was noisy, we had no idea that they are in 2 x 2 layout blocks of 4 villas joined so we had constant noise from the guests stomping around above us at night (often late) and mornings the whole time we were there. There were a few weddings and events during our stay with large groups securing the entire restaurant so as guests we couldn't even get into some of the restaurants. When we did secure a booking with a bit of hassle at The View 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing, we were stuck at the only table inside behind a huge pillar that blocked our view of the sunset. I'm a foodie and only 3 of the courses I would consider decent for a 5 star hotel. The sweetbreads, tenderloin (outstanding), and turbot was great. The rest was disappointing. Securing a sunbed on a nice day became problematic due to the amount of people & poolside food & drink service was awkward, inconsistent QR code menu's & staff seemed too busy & never asked guests for orders. We had a car and were able to explore beaches & spend time away from the resort but given it's location is miles from anywhere - it was a little boring. We had a different experience at other hotels on the island with live daytime (singers, sax etc) entertainment poolside during the day - not just the same playlist everyday over & over. On their website they made it look like they have these cool sunset rituals - when in fact it was just the DJ hitting a gong at sunset and that was it. On the website they also made it look like you could go mountain trails, biking, kayaking hiking transfers gym kit etc directly from the Hotel when I think it was actually done through a 3rd party at a significant cost. I requested an active gym kit twice early on during my stay so I could workout from my villa never...
Read moreThe staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we checked in ) if not a little slow admin wise) and as we arrived early we opted to have lunch in one of the restaurants overlooking the bay. The view is to die for .. on your left is a small bay for swimming and infront if you is the famed Es Vedre island, supposedly the second most magnetic place on the planet , i did feel an intense emotion from the view but whether it was to do with this fact I will never know! |We opted for a sea view suite which was in the family area. It was light and airy with a fabulous balcony - it was like a small apartment and perfect for our stay. The resort although large, didn’t feel so because of the way it is designed. We absolutely loved walking down to the rocky uncrowned beach for a swim each day ( take beach swimming shoes ) . The main infinity pool is lovely too ( although more busy). ||Along with the rocky cove, the highlight for me was the sunset dj session (although again you need to book to get a good seat) . With mellow Balearic music being softly played as we watched the sun go down and a magnificent pink sunset light up the sky which suddenly revealed the silhouette of Formentara - as the sun faded the dj played a mournfully beautiful tune until you could see it no more. The experience was utterly magical.||The hotel is five star but I would give it 4 and a half as for us the food let it down. The restaurants all catered for our gluten intolerance although i do wish there were a few more vegetarian options and the restaurants in the evening were hard to book, so we ended up having to have room service which was annoying. I just felt the food a little bland and not much choice for us (especially room service wise ), we had the same meal three times ! They say there are numerous restaurants but in reality two share the same menu- and the food and drinks were very expensive for what you get.|Ibiza has a taxi shortage so I’m assuming the restaurants were full because of this. If you do go and want to explore the island you must hire a car . We weren’t there long enough to worry and just stayed on site for two days and enjoyed this...
Read moreThis resort is absolutely beautiful. But overall, there are a lot of things that could be improved upon.
Pros: -the resort itself is beautiful, very high end vibes -the rooms are massive, awesome balcony -great views of the ocean -was welcomed with a delicious Bellini cocktail and a bottle of Cava in our room (we were celebrating our wedding anniversary) -breakfast (which was included with our stay) was probably the best hotel breakfast we have ever had -the sushi was probably the best sushi we have ever had -the pool is beautiful, plenty of loungers -staff was very helpful and friendly
Cons: -the cost of bottled water was outrageous, 9 euro for a .75L bottle, my husband and I drink a lot of water and considering the fact that you can't drink the tap water in Ibiza this was absolutely appalling that they charge this much for bottled water - for this reason alone I would never return to this resort -Pool: the music by the pool could have been better, pool was chilly, we went mid September which is the start of low season in Ibiza and they had closed the family pool, one of the reasons I booked this resort was to have an adults only pool so this was a bit of a disappointment, we were not informed of this ahead of time when booking -not a lot of options for food at the resort and some of the restaurants have the same menu -massive lack of options (especially for eating) when it was raining (everything is pretty much outside) -menus lack variety and are somewhat small, there aren't a lot of vegetarian or dairy free options -since they had closed the family pool, they also closed the Mexican food truck that is there, so that was one less option for food, again we were not informed this would be closed when we booked -Sushi was only offered for lunch -dinner portions were extremity small and overall the dinner food was not impressive for the cost, very average -it's far from a lot of things on the island, no other place to go within walking distance -the cost of beer, wine, and alcohol was high - poor selection of beer -massive bee problem at the restaurants, a few days we had to move tables to get...
