Cala Vadella is an absolutely perfect place if you want to relax and enjoy a stunning sunset. More aimed for families and couples, there is not masses around, but still busy without being overwhelming with a couple shops and a few restaurants/bars next to the beach. The swimming area is brilliant as the waves are not strong as it is a bay, being really ideal for children. You have the option to rent the sun loungers/parasols and have the surrounding restaurants deliver drinks/food for an addition of about 20% to the bill. However, you can easily pop into one of the shops and purchase a parasol for about €10 (if required) and use a beach towel to keep costs low. Kayaks and paddle boards are available to rent for an hour at roughly €30pp, and there is a day excursion to the surrounding coasts, isle of Es Vedrá & Formentera for about €90. If you are looking to stay in the area for a few nights, I would certainly recommend looking at accommodation close to the beach as the only way to access the bay is by walking (unless you have access to a car) which can take some time since the area is mountainous, and there are not many pathways. Otherwise, you could happily spend just the day in Cala Vadella if you are travelling Ibiza.

We didn't like the food much. Even the paella was bland. They don't have DND signs, so bring your own if you don't want the cleaning staff to barge in. Happened to us twice in one day. The last 3 days of our 7-day stay, they had frequent power outages; every few minutes. Some lasted hours. Nothing worked without electricity. No fridge, no air con, etc. We could have spent a month in the Canaries in far greater comfort for the money. However, their prices are reasonable as compared to the ridiculous prices some hotels charge. Also, the staff were generally ok and the waitress was especially nice to our 2yo rascal, so I'll give it 3 stars. FIY: the nearby parking area is free to use from 9pm to 9am. They won't tell you that when you get there, but send you to their own parking spot on top of the hill, which is hard to get to in blistering heat. Now you know. Finally, the beach is the second nicest on the whole island, after Cala Salada, with the added advantage of not having to put up with youths in heat smoking various weedy things around your kids.

If you're looking for a relaxing, fun and budget holiday with your family - this place is perfect. It's not a 5-star resort, but doesn't pretend to be. What it does offer are comfortable basic rooms in an apartment style which is great for families. The pool is good - just the right size. The location is excellent too, being right by the beach in a simply stunning spot. Cala Vadella itself is a perfect spot - set in a stunning cove with shallow water full of fish, and several nice low-key beach bars and restaurants. My family has just returned from here and we're planning to go back next year.

Stayed in June 22. Found the hotel on booking.com but booked directly with the hotel as it was cheaper - although watch out for the €29 tourist tax on departure!! ||Paid extra for a sea view. Would say we were on 1st floor so although you could see the sea by leaning over the balcony it was more of a pool view but that was fine. The room was as big as it looks on the website. Really large space. The decor was dated but the room was cleaned and there was service everyday. Nice to have the kitchen- all utensils you need and a large fridge and microwave was very useful. The breakfast was excellent. A really large choice and would definitely recommend unless you are thinking of just doing yr own in the apartment. We didn’t eat in the hotel on other occasions but other peoples food looked great. Although we did use the Thai that is in the grounds and the food was great. We could see the Thai lady cooking from our balcony and she worked very hard and the kitchen looked spotless. ||||The hotel seems to be the only one in the resort- I maybe wrong - so it was busy but we were able to find a bed and umbrella whenever we wanted to go to the pool. The beach is quite literally across the rd so you have a choice. The pool was a lovely temp and cleaned every morning. The hotel had quite a few children when we were there but it was only during the day you noticed them and not really an issue. ||The resort itself is very small. Not much of a promenade but the beach is sandy and the water was amazingly clean and clear. There are around 10 bar/restaurants in the resort- some are fairly pricey but majority look out over the bay and the sunsets are amazing so in part you are paying for the view. There is a tiny supermarket attached to the hotel that has all the basics including breads crisps microwave soft drinks and alcohol. A slightly larger one at the end of the resort - about 5 mins walk away. ||We walked into the the next resort Cala d Hort a couple of times- there are trails to follow. Also we caught the bus to san Josep and walked up Sa Talaia which had the most fantastic views. We also caught the bus to the old town ( you need to change in San Josep ) which was really worth a visit too - the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Would definitely recommend the hotel and resort if you are looking for a...

No obstante, durmieron bien. Y me gustaron.

Overall we loved this apartment but it was more due to it’s fabulous location and convenience than the actual accommodation. The staff who work the reception are amazing - very helpful and kind. The apartment - we had a ‘comfort one bedroom apartment’ which I heard was a lot better than their standard ones, was absolutely fine and very clean as other reviews have said - there’s daily maid service too. There was plenty of storage for our things and although small for the four of us it was fine. Beds were comfy and it was well equipped with everything you need. There was an iron and you could get a kettle from reception if wanted one (not sure why not just in each apt!). They provide pool towels if you place a 10 Euro per towel deposit at reception and will change them daily if you ask. FYI the showers (and swimming pool) are salt water. There’s a fab children’s area in the main pool. Very safe for the little ones. We ate breakfast in the restaurant a couple of times - it wasn’t anything special but had all we needed and was very convenient. The location of the apartment was amazing, two mins walk to the pool, beach and restaurants. Go to the beach early and it’s wonderful! Loved the area so much - go if you can! Was a great...
