Needlessly overpriced compared with other places, and a bit pretentious beyond their station.
Yes it is in a nice location, and yes the owner might be proud of that, but that doesn't justify the poor service attitude, incorrect menu pricing or the many other things that you'd expect to be a given, especially with the costs involved.
€20 for a litre of bland sangria? €75+ for Seafood Paella for three people? With very little actual seafood in it. And €14+ for what looked like a frozen margarita pizza from Lidl.
Auto adding 10% service charge, how about you actually get the service right before putting a service charge on the bill, it was slow, bordering impolite and assumptive. Did I ask for three lots of bread, nope, but it was put on the table and I was charge €6 for the privilege .
I don't give out 1-star reviews often, and this was so close to getting that, the only saviour was the fact that the Paella actually tasted nice.
No doubt you'll come back with some excuse, well don't bother, spend your time improving your service and clarity, not wasting your time making excuses for things that already happened.
EDIT: As predicted, you came back with an insult "The location has a price that is not for all budgets or palates" Sorry to say this but you are not the only place in Ibiza or for that matter in Cala Vadella, the price is justified by excellence, not location, and you were far from excellent, and did not represent good value for money in my eyes. Which is 'my' review, so don't try and tell me what is bad taste when that is the experience I actually had at your place of business, and I am pretty sure than 'my' opinion is just as valid as someone who awarded you 5-stars.
You should try and learn from these reviews, not throw insults back in people faces, then you might earn some respect from the people who have actually not had a great time.
Well done for failing yet again, I am sure one day you will get it right, or at least the visitors to your establishment can...
Read moreWalked past the place a bit sceptical, as only a few tables were occupied — I do have to say this is isn’t the busiest time of year and Cala Vadella is quite calm right now. I remembered, however, that some Ibiza-based YouTuber said he loved the place, so we gave it a try.
Where do I begin?
The service was very good, and my cocktail was just perfectly balanced.
Then the food we ordered was brought to the table and this is where it got amazing:
Never in my life, not even in the fanciest of restaurants, did I ever eat octopus this tender, juicy and tasty. Coincidence? No way.
My girlfriend had the ravioli and she was amazed by her meal as well (and she can be a picky one).
Then we shared their homemade dessert to see if that was any good. Needless to say, it was brilliant.
Had a good cappuccino afterwards and then strolled the entire 100 meters back to our hotel filled with good food — and joy.
We were told that the sunset view from their terrace is great, so we’ll be back again in a few days probably.
Definitely recommend...
Read moreAfter we complained about the poor food, (why my mates ordered lamb in Ibiza I’ll never know) which we sent back for not being edible. And they had no problem with the complaint at the time. They charged us full price which we complained about and said we wouldn’t pay approx 40euro. At which point they got super aggressive. They said they’d call the police to which we agreed to wait for. They were xenophobic even though 3 out of 4 were fluent in Spanish and had lived in Spain for 5 yrs and said we were being typical Brits abroad. Finally after they threatened to beat me up on the beach we agreed to pay at which point I thought all was cool (I don’t speak Spanish) they physically assaulted me (see photo) and stole my glasses! Unbelievable!!! I can laugh about it now but at the time was horrific. My girlfriend cried all the way home. Weirdly enough there were loads of people in the restaurant. No idea how they felt. Anyway thank god for being able to leave a bad...
