Stayed here for a week in a 1 bed apartment with my family. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The pool and jacuzzi are heated well, and significantly warmer than other resorts we have stayed at in the area. There's music playing from the bar constantly during the day, and it is a really good playlist. This really added value to our experience as it is often missing elsewhere. They have a lounger booking system where there are two slots per day. First is 09:00 till 14:00 and second is 14:15 till 19:00. You book your slot the day before by talking to the lifeguard any time from 09:00 onwards. If you don't turn up after 09:30 (for morning) or 14:45 (for afternoon) you risk losing your slot, and if you are away for more than an hour you risk losing it also. The system worked really well for us actually, and took away some of the stress often associated with getting loungers. They have a locked luggage room for your last day, and they have toilets with showers (indoor) near the pool area. You need a key card to enter the complex (although you can press a buzzer to request entry also), making it more secure than others we have stayed at in the area. ||The apartment was clean, and had everything we needed. The shower was really good, and spacious. You get both an oven and a microwave, giving you more options for doing your own lunch. You also get a large fridge freezer. They have a filtered water tap on the sink which you can use to fill a bottle they give you and store it in the fridge, which saves you needing to buy lots of bottled water. The air conditioning in the apartment was also very good.||It's a fair walk to the main restaurants in the strip, but easily doable if you take it easy and plan for it. Would strongly recommend Asia Delicious and also The...
Read moreALL the staff are friendly and do all they can for you to have a pleasant stay. As a family of 4, we stayed in a 1 bed apartment and the bed and the pull out bed settee are very comfy. The apartment is spotless and modern and has every amenity needed. They even supply dishwasher tabs, soap, moisturizer, shampoo etc. there is a hairdryer in the bathroom and even an iron and ironing board. There is a fan in both rooms and free air conditioning and also a safe. 2 Sunbeds with padded cushions and an outside table with 4 chairs are provided on every balcony/ terrace. The outdoor pool is kept at 26 degrees and after the initial cold of getting in it's comfortable to stay in for hours. The Sunbeds by the pool need to booked in advance with the lifeguard and are limited to morning or afternoon sessions. There is a smaller children's pool plus a Jacuzzi for 16+yr olds. The table tennis is free and they have a pool table and a small play area for toddlers/ younger children. The beach is literally across the road with chairs and umbrellas to hire. Absolutely loads of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants to choose from and definitely the 'roadside' restaurant which is just 1 minutes walk to the right is well worth a visit. They have a delicious "roadside Angus burger" which is not on the menu but if you ask for it you will not be disappointed. It has cheese, bacon, salad and an egg on the burger and comes with chips. The pizzas are superb and the bbq beef ribs are scummy. We came for the February half term and it was 25degrees all week through the day but needed a jumper/ coat at night with the cool wind. The transfer from Aricefe airport takes just 10-15 mins. We all would definitely come back to the resort and this...
Read moreJust returned from a brilliant week at Club del Carmen. Travelled as a couple with our teenage boy and girl and needed accommodation where they didn’t have to share a room. We were in Villa 1 with two bedrooms downstairs and a large double sofa bed upstairs in the living room. There was also two bathrooms with showers and a bath. It had everything you need for self catering and the air con was excellent, which was needed. Staff were all brilliant and they keep in touch with you via whatsapp so answered any questions. The villa also had a sea view, which was lovely, although it did face onto the road. We arrived on a Saturday and noticed noise from the road but barely heard it the rest of the time. The downstairs patio beds faced onto the road so very little privacy but didn’t use them much anyway.|The reviews mention the sunbed bookings and this didn’t bother us as we don’t tend to lie around the pool but it might restrict you if you’re not wanting to keep to the time slots. The first couple of days we got a bed later into the time slots ok but it got busier and we then kept forgetting to book. We did have friends at Hotel Lanzarote so spent time there. They offer a later check out to 12pm, if available, for 20 euros which we used and also stored our luggage with a shower room available should you need it. Baileybar is excellent with two happy hours, great food and brilliant staff. The location for us was perfect but might not be if you want to be just off the strip. We loved how quiet it was and only a 10 minute walk to the start/end of the strip at Spoons. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants at that end which didn’t feel overly crowded. |Loved our stay and so...
