Bilin Tree House — Hotel in Galle

We stayed 1 week. A boutique 4 rooms only surrounded by shady tropical garden and gorgeous stone pool. I loved the tranquil music playing in the garden. Their was wonderful birdlife in the garden and Lal gave me a bird book to identify them. Often we had the whole pool to ourselves for hours.The room was large with a comfortable bed. The ceiling fan only had 1 speed, extra fast so could be noisy at night. The personal service we received by the staff was like no other. The waiter Lahitu was polite and wonderful. Indika showed me all the edible plants in the garden and was our main contact. If we mentioned we liked the local bread or bananas, the next day we had it. Indika gave us fresh coconuts when we were around the pool and Lal asked if we need a tea or coffee while swinging on my porch. The attention to detail and attention to making us comfortable was excellent. The chef made some great food. The staff accomodated any breakfast we liked from boiled eggs to omelettes or a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. I enjoyed all the meals. I spent my 50th birthday here and to my absolute surprise I returned to the hotel in the afternoon to find decorations with flowers, balloons and a cake. I couldn't believe the effort and attention and how special it made my big 50th birthday to remember. I was even given a fantastic jewellery present. The location is a $5 tuk tuk ride to Galle Fort area. The staff organised any contacts we needed for tours, transport or recommendations on anything we needed to know. I would recommend this hotel if you want tranquil settings with music and birdlife and only a few other people about. The personalised service and attention to detail was excellent service and we were sad to leave our 4 staff friends from Bilin Tree House. A wonderful memory and I would come back to visit. The only recommendations I would make is to put a privacy screen at the restaurant as we always felt that we had no privacy in our room or on our porch in the Jasmine room which was directly opposite the...

I only can recommend this place! Bilin Tree House is a beautiful, comfy, clean and relaxing hotel with lovely focus on details like decoration or light chains which make the stay really special. The big Pool has a nice aesthetic and get cleaned multiple Times a day. Also you receive every morning fresh Towels without asking. The fresh breakfast was so good and a Highlight every morning (individual cooked eggs, fresh fruits, coffee). ||The Service was excellent and the treatment friendly and helpful. We received good advice for sightseeing, local Restaurants and they offered us every day Tuk-Tuk with very good and safe driver.||We stayed with four people in the holiday home at Bilin Tree House for 7 days. The House was clean and comfy. We had a really good time there. A Highlight is the private Terrace in front of the entrance of the holiday home with multiple places to relax. All beds had moscito nets, comfy pillows and matresses. The bathrooms were clean as well and in a good condition. We also saw the other hotel rooms which are more modern with really beautiful and modern bathrooms, terrace or balcony so i think they are recommendable as well.||Next time in Sri Lanka I will stay at Bilin Tree House again! I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us a genuinely warm welcome and personally showed us to our rooms. They were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to help with anything we needed.||The pool is stunning—both relaxing and very picturesque—and the entire property is beautifully maintained. Breakfast was delicious, and we also stayed for lunch, which was just as impressive.||Even though we’d only booked for one night, the staff kindly let us stay on the property well beyond checkout so we could continue enjoying the pool. Since there were no guests arriving immediately after us, they even allowed us to use the room again for a shower before leaving.||A fantastic experience...
