Hotel Happy Vibes — Hotel in Galle

We had one of the worst experiences at this place. We made a confirmed booking through Booking.com, but when we arrived, we were told that our room had already been given away to someone else. Instead, they offered us another ‘available’ room, which was supposed to have AC.

The moment we checked in, the problems started. The AC was completely useless .. not cooling at all. The room was filled with mosquitoes, making it impossible to relax. We barely lasted 30 minutes inside before deciding to leave.

When we tried to check out early, instead of understanding the situation, the owner lady treated us very rudely and unprofessionally. The attitude we received was completely unacceptable .. no apologies, no solutions, just disrespect.

This was honestly such a disappointing and frustrating experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I strongly suggest avoiding it. There are far better options where you will at least be treated with...

Wonderful Stay in Galle – Highly Recommended!

I recently stayed at this lovely homestay in Galle and had a truly enjoyable experience. The homeowner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived.

The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious – full of flavor and beautifully presented. It’s clear they put a lot of care into every detail. The room and bathroom were both very clean, spacious, and comfortable.

The location is also a big plus – just off the Galle main road and very close to Dewata and Unawatuna Beach, making it convenient for exploring the area or just relaxing by the sea.

If you're looking for a place with reasonable prices, warm hospitality, and great food, I definitely recommend...

We stayed at Hotel Happy Vibes for 2 nights at the start of our Sri Lanka trip. Masah was a wonderful host. We had the two first floor bedrooms, which were large, clean with good a/c and comfy beds. Masah provided tea on arrival, and we ordered dinner and breakfast during our stay. The meals Masah prepared were not only some of the most delicious we've had on our trip, but beautifully presented. Masah and her family were friendly, kind and welcoming, and her garden felt like a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the busy main street, which was only a short walk to nearby buses and tuk tuks. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay!...
