I recently visited Beach Bonavista in Galle, and it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the serene town of Galle, this beach is a picturesque destination known for its pristine sands and tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of Beach Bonavista is its unspoiled charm. Unlike more commercialized beaches, it offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The sunrise and sunset views are breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and reflection.

While the beach lacks amenities like lifeguards and restrooms, its untouched beauty more than makes up for it. Parking can be a bit tricky as there is no designated lot, but finding a spot along the nearby residential streets is manageable.

Crowd is really friendly and nice to be around.

There are lots of foreigners in the beach and 80%+ of the surfers are foreigners.

If you’re new, don’t worry. You can have a personal trainer for one hour and they’ll guide you.

Personal trainer will guide you from the basics to pro mode.

You don’t need to worry if you don’t know how to swim as the shallow is there for about 100m+.

There are several places to buy foods and cost will depend on the restaurant.
