Panora Garden Restaurant and Stay — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I really loved staying at Panora Garden because it provided everything I hoped for in a beach area accommodation. My room was very clean and quiet with a big bed and a good size private bathroom. A nice feature of the accommodation is the table and chairs in front of my room where I could relax, take in some fresh air and listen to the birds in the morning.

The guest house is run by a friendly Sri Lankan couple and the wife cooks very delicious meals. Breakfast was a fixed menu of a fried egg, some rotis, some small rolled banana pancakes and some fruit on the side. Tea or coffee to drink. Lunch and dinner are available from a menu (at extra cost). I tried the curry & rice and the spicy Sri Lankan spaghetti and was very pleased with both dishes. The restaurant's terrace is a great place to enjoy a meal in a natural environment with lots of trees.

To top it off, Panora Garden's location is very convenient. It's just a 5 or 6 minute walk to the beach. I very much enjoyed staying here because the couple that run the place really make you feel welcomed. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I visit Mirissa...

GO FOR THE RESTAURANT. The lady who cooks is absolutely amazing. She’s super nice and cooks amazing food for very cheap. We found the best deals in all Mirissa there. She got used to seeing us everyday for lunch and we became good friends. Great location inbetween the beach and the main road. Therefore, both can be reached within a 5min walk and the place is quiet. There are roughly six rooms. We stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious and equipped with a large bed, chair and table. Each room as two chairs outside on the verandah. The wifi didn't work for most of the time. The bathroom wasn't clean when we arrived and even after asking to have it recleaned there was still hair everywhere and the toilet was dirty. Breakfast was okay but not the best we have had...
