One More Day Hostel — Hotel in Weligama

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Docrid hostel and I have to say it was an exceptional experience for me. The host is an incredibly kind and welcoming person. From the moment I arrived, he went out of his way to make sure I felt at home and had everything I needed. He gave me great recommendations for places to visit and eat and how to go to nearby places. The hostel itself is beautifully decorated and has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well during my stay. In addition to the comfortable and facilities, the location of the hostel if fantastic, it’s right on the beach, short walk from bus station/railway station and close to plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. But what really sets Docrid apart is the amazing hospitality, after I checked out and reached Colombo, I realised that I had left my power bank and adapter in living area as it was on charge. I contacted the host and he offered to send them to me. However, instead of mailing them over to me, he went above and beyond by personally bringing them all the way to Colombo to hand them over to me. This level of service and kindness is truly rare and made my trip to Sri Lanka even more memorable. If I ever go back there I’ll stay there again for sure.

Overall, I would highly recommend Docrid hostel to anyone visiting weligama. With its wonderful host, comfortable beds, and prime location, it’s the perfect place to call home...

Docrict hostel was my favourite place that I stayed while in my travel. I would say it's the best hostel in weligama. The place was really quite and cool with the front garden serounded by fruit trees. Was really cool and quiet place. Its actually feels like a home for me. The rooms and beds were comfortable. I was staying there for almost more than one month. It was an amazing experience. The owner was very friendly and such a nice person. He was always helpful with any situation. Even the problems we faced in outside. I made lot of really good friends there. We were like a family... The location is perfect to reach the surf points. And also I was staying there and covered other areas like mirissa, midigama, galle. Every week we had Sri lankan cooking activities. And we had dinner all together. Also we had some funny games too. While im staying there I was partying alot. Every week the whole hostel were going to the doctors house for partying.! I have really nice memories with this place. I'll definitely come back again. For me docrict is the best...

Location: This hostel is an absolute gem, strategically located just 10 meters from Weligama's bustling main street, a mere 4-minute walk from the bus station, and right by the tranquil sea. You'll drift off to sleep to the soothing lullaby of ocean waves each night. For surf enthusiasts, this place is a dream, as the beach is just a minute's walk away. The location is simply unparalleled. However, what truly distinguishes this establishment is its warm and inviting atmosphere. Rizzy, the host, not only exudes incredible friendliness and open communication but also boasts years of international experience, making him exceptionally attuned to the needs of travelers. I found myself extending my stay here, and 'One More Day' became a constant refrain until the end of my holiday. It's more than just a hostel; it's a home away from home or a friend's place.
