A Kottu Catastrophe at Jayalath Restaurant 🚨 If disappointment had a flavor, it would taste exactly like the kottu from Jayalath Restaurant. 🍽️ What was supposed to be a satisfying meal turned into an hour-long test of patience, only to be rewarded with the worst kottu I have ever encountered.

First off, despite having only a handful of customers, we were left waiting for a whole hour—long enough to question our life choices. But patience is a virtue, right? Well, not when the wait ends in a plate of dry, over-salted disaster. Where was the kottu gravy? Missing. Vanished. Non-existent. What we got instead was a sad pile of dry, over-seasoned disappointment that felt like chewing on flavored cardboard.

Jayalath Restaurant, if you’re going to make us wait an hour, at least make it worth it. Because right now, I wouldn't even wait five minutes for that kottu again. 👎

We had an amazing dining experience at Jayalath Restaurant in Weligama. For dinner, we ordered Basmati Chicken Fried Rice and Devilled Chicken, and both dishes were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next day for lunch, and let me tell you, we ate like we were starving for a week 🤭😛

We visited this place yesterday evening (2025/06/18), as we usually do for special occasions. Unfortunately, this time was deeply disappointing. The owner appeared to be intoxicated and aggressively blamed two of us in front of everyone without any discussion. His behavior was threatening and made us feel unsafe, as if he was ready to physically confront us.

As frequent customers, we expected better treatment. The owner and staff should learn to handle situations with professionalism and respect. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this...
