Solid stay, staff was overall really friendly and seem to be happy working here. The rooms are fine in all senses but the beds and bedding could use a refresh. Bed was quite bouncy so if you or your partner moved it was very noticeable. If you like a pillow in any shape other than a pancake you should probably bring your own. The in-room (really-)mini-fridge was placed in a wall-mounted cabinet making the actual fridge door kinda difficult to open but manageble. Room for a sofa can or two.
At the time of our stay in January 2024 they were at full speed building a new expansion just outside our room. The builders were eager to work and started making noise around 6am and wrapped up around 6-7pm. New building looks nice and modern and hopefully done soon. Can’t complain since we were up by then anyway but good to know.
Noteworthy is that the gym is surprisingly big, you walk into the first little room and then the rooms just keep going with more and more equipment. Not the most modern equipment but will get the job done no matter your routine, racks, weights, treadmills you name it.
Also worth mentioning is that this place is close to what they call the old center where most stores and shops have closed down and moved to the newly built center on the other side of town. You can walk your way there in about 45-50mins or so but a buss or cab is probably easiest. Local busses stop just on the street outside so easy to get around if you want.
Breakfast was somewhat small but well put together. Some local Swedish bites and the classics. If you’re hungry or need a snack there’s a gas station and a small grocery store a minute away. The in-hotel restaurant isn’t open for lunch but you can get a decent espresso during the day. Might be seasonal hours don’t know. The Pub Eden restaurant inside would not be my go-to place but it’s a hotel restaurant so with that comes the bumped price and food...

However, what really makes this possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever dealt with is the fact that they shamelessly trick you into getting something different from what you paid for. I had a group of people, and two of the rooms I booked were supposed to have two twin beds. Well, they put my friends into rooms with one queen-size bed. When I complained, they showed me the small print that showed up after I made the reservation, in which, among many other things, they say they can’t guarantee room configuration requests (even though they allow you to pay for it).||Now, here’s the thing: on the website, they can enter exactly how many rooms they have and the configuration, so when the rooms get booked, that configuration is no longer offered.
