I had the most amazing first experience seeing the Northern Lights with Explore Kiruna, on the Northern Lights Photography tour. The tour guide took a great photo of me under the lights as a keepsake, and taught me how to capture this phenomenon with my own camera. I also did the snowmobile tour, which was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life, as well as the safari tour during the day along a historical road, where I saw moose and reindeer, both a rare and real treat to photograph. I also did the Sami Village tour where I got to get up close and personal with the reindeer, really got to understand their personality, and eat traditional Sami food in the cosy teepee dining area. I also went on an ice hotel tour which was very interesting, next time, hopefully I can organise a stay there, which Explore Kiruna also organises. Everything ran smoothly from arranging my tours, pick ups and drop off. I highly recommend...

We did a private tour to hunt the northern lights and our experience was AMAZING. Communication to schedule was very easy and they answered fast via WhatsApp. Our guide, Mikael, went above and beyond to improve our tour and hunt the lights. He is from Kiruna and it was clear that he knows a lot. Even though it was a very cloudy night, he was able to find the lights. He also saw that we were having trouble photographing them, so he took pictures with his own camera, edited and sent them to me the next day. Mikael also brought a typical Swedish beverage and homemade cookies which was really thoughtful. I have no words to describe how incredible it was, definitely something that I’ll always remember. Aaaaawesome northern lights tour - I wish I put 10 stars! It was a fantastic experience to see the northern lights with Alex! He is very knowledgable, fun and experienced guide! We didn't get to see the northern lights on our tour day, but he kindly took us again on another night free of charge! He picked us up with hot drinks and made a bonfire (not in the car, but on a lake:-)) to keep us warm. That night we were extremely lucky and got to see beautiful colourful sky. While we were staring at the northern lights Alex took photos which he kindly shared with us later. We would definitely recommend tours with Explore Kiruna to everyone and would surely come back ourselves.
