On the flipside 💁♂️ The staff was really friendly and warm and did their absolute best to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was good.
No good 🤦♂️ Time for a total make over. We stayed in the family room and everything felt worn down. From the beds to the bathroom to the public spaces. The curtains in the room hardly covered the windows and the ventilation was below standard. This combined with no AC led to the only solution to open all windows which are facing the central station, very noisy from early in the morning.
Shortly this does not live up to Elite Hotels's standards as I am used to them. The price (over SEK 3 000 for two nights) does not match the experience and sadly in a negative way. It feels like Elite tries to hide behind another brand (Bishops Inn), but this gives no English Inn feeling, this just feels like a worn out version. The real solution is to make the place feel like a nice little three star hotel again.
The consequense of running a place in this manner 🏁 I thought about having dinner here but above made our little family go to other restaurants for dinner during our two night stay. I don't want to have dinner in a place that does not feel fresh and where you don't get what you pay for. I will come back once it has been refurbished, before that we will stay at other hotels in Kristianstad. I can not recommend this hotel or...
Read moreThis is a combined Hotel and pub/restaurant mm part of a chain of similar establishments operating under the same name. I visited the pub only, to enjoy a pint at the end of a long warm Friday evening. The outdoor seating area was full, so I had to sit inside. The interior was quite dark and felt somewhat worn down - an impression reinforced by a pervasive smell of stale beer and cooking oil. The beer was however cold and nice, and the staff reasonably friendly, if not particularly interested in their customers. Probably won't come back again, as there are plenty of other watering holes in...
Read moreHad a nice couple of days in Kristianstad. Stayed at the Hotel Bishop Arms. Perfect location just across the street from the central station. I really recommend the veggie burger in the pub - it was delicious. Breakfast was ok. Only met the staff when I checked in, they where friendly and helpful. The rooms are one floor up right at the entrance, so one don´t have to go through the pub if one don´t want to. I liked my room, it was quiet and tidy. Only bad thing was all the birds in the trees outside the window (it was A LOT of them) that woke me up...
