As a wheelchair user, I chose this hotel because it offers accessible rooms. Unfortunately, I found something else. |The room is spacious and there is an extra handle at the entrance door so that the door can be pulled shut. This is where the facilities for disabled people come to an end. |There is no shelf in the wardrobe at wheelchair height, nor can you hang your clothes (so you have to scatter them on the floor and/or spread them out on the small desk).|The bathroom door has a threshold several centimetres high (threshold!!!), the shower seat was assembled incorrectly. Fittings are too high and incorrectly positioned. Soap is out of reach, as is the hairdryer. Shower and hand towels are only accessible when standing.... Anyone travelling alone in a wheelchair is totally lost in this hotel. If there would be more than 5 stars to give, I wouldn't hesitate to give it to Quality Hotel Grand. Everything during my stay there, was jst more then perfect. The service from all of the workers I recieved is like a family welcoming. They are really nice people so profetional. Some workers to mention like, George( receiption) who really nice, friendly so eager to help customers guy made my visit perfect and easy. Emily( if I spell her name correctly) who works in the restuarant(bar) is so friendly and helpfull lady. I wish I could mention all the receiption's names who I met during my 3 days visit from 23 september till 26 september 2025 were so nice❤️.

I visited my hometown of Kristianstad together with my partner and we wanted a comfortable hotel in a good location. Grand Hotel was perfect for the situation. It is located only a two minute walk from the train station as well as the main shopping streets. The front desk staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. The hotel is in good condition and the room was spacious and clean. The gym is well equipped and I believe there is a sauna as well although we did not get the opportunity to use it. The highlight of the stay was probably the breakfast buffet - an excellent selection of Swedish goodies in a calming environment.
