The hotel looks unattractive from the outside but as soon as you enter the lobby, it changes its appearance as it is very well keeped. Too bad that as soon as we enter the room we realise that in the room next to ours, there is a family with children. To be more precise, an unpolite family with unpolite children. Children who keeps running around the room and not only that, also in the corridor next to the rooms. Obviously, as happens most of the time, the rude children are accompanied by parents who cannot be called such. Who do not understand that there are not only them and their children in the world, and that rudeness is not tolerable. After about three hours, we went to the reception desk and reported the discomfort and asked them to intervene and, if they did not, to change our room. Shortly afterwards, we received a phone call in the room and were told that the “cheerful little family” next door had been reprimanded. They replied that the children were making noise because they had stomach aches. I didn't know that running in the corridor screaming was a medically recognised treatment. But you know, in Sweden they have their own ideas about what one should do to cope with an illness. Just look at how they (didn't) handle the pandemic. A disaster. However, we were also told by the reception desk that they would still change our room if we wanted to. Of course we decided to move rooms, explicitly requesting to be moved to a room where there was no one next to us, and they complied with this request. Unfortunately, while there was no one next door, upstairs, a lady started walking in heels. Jesus, a nightmare. And even late into the night, she continued. But you know, for rudeness there is no vaccine. We therefore acknowledged the good service provided by the staff, we appreciated their helpfulness. I would, however, advise them to ALWAYS inform guests BEFORE if there are children or situations next to or around their assigned room that could cause great disturbance...

We had good communication with the hotel before our stay. But our stay was horrid! A small sidenote if you are going to share a room with someone you are not SUPER close with; there are no locks on the toilet and the bathroom doors in the rooms, and there is also a gap of 1-3 cm around the entire door which is made of frosted glass. If you stand outside, you can see the person sitting on the toilet or standing naked in the shower!
But the absolute worst thing was that there were cockroaches in the room!
We noticed this around 3 am when a cockroach ran across one of us while we were sleeping, of course, there were screams and chaos and the whole family woke up. We killed it thinking it was an exception and “we'll tell the staff in the morning so they know”. At 6.45 am, my husband was in the bathroom when a 3 cm large cockroach ran over his foot!
We hurried to leave the room and shook all the clothes as best we could before. When we checked out my husband showed the staff pictures and video and asked for some compensation, the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and said "Yes, we've had a bit of a problem with cockroaches, I'll tell the cleaning staff". No compensation not even an apology?! Since we slept here before a flight, it doesn't feel quite right that we might have brought cockroaches with us in our suitcases to another country. The children are also afraid that they may have laid eggs on their clean clothes in the suitcases. (This hotel is used by cabin crew for SAS, which feels completely crazy!)
Even worse is that we booked TWO rooms and even in the second room they found a cockroach in the sink in the morning!

Read moreModern, clean, and comfortable room. Excellent exterior soundproofing; virtually zero outside noise. Abundance of electrical outlets in the room. Speedy wireless Internet access. Staff is personable, accommodating (no pun intended), and promptly responsive to requests. Very polite hospitality received from everyone I encountered. The many positive reviews evidently are well-earned.
The included breakfast buffet is outstanding in both the range of offerings and the quality of ingredients. The dining room is spacious and elegant. It should be noted that breakfast buffet service begins at 0430 each day, allowing travelers with an early flight to partake in a hearty meal to begin their day. This is a very guest-oriented concept that other hotels should emulate.
One item of note is that there are no other dining options within walking distance of this property. There are many dining options available at the airport using the frequent shuttle bus operated by the airport. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good and the prices are moderately pricey, but all-in-all, it was worth the cost. The menu offerings are somewhat limited in variety and scope for a large restaurant according to my tastes and wishes over a two or three day period so seeking other dining options was beneficial during my visit.
The room rate was not exactly inexpensive but the Radisson Blu Arlandia Hotel provided the value expected for the price charged. I have certainly paid more at other venues and received far less value but I have never paid less and received more than the Radisson Blu Arlandia Hotel.
Bottom Line: Most highly...
