Best Western Solna Business Park — Hotel in Solna kommun

Stayed for 3 nights for a business trip. Admittedly we were late booking so other places were fully booked and we ended up with little choice but to go for this one.||Firstly, the signage is wrong. Taxi drivers have no idea the hotel is now a Best Western, as the signs say ‘Maude’s Hotel’. Useful.||The lady on Reception was very friendly and welcoming when we checked in.||I was very disappointed to find that my room, just a standard double, was not clean. Every surface had a thick layer of dust. The floor was dirty. The room smelt of stale sweat. The curtains were useless - very thin, didn’t meet in the middle and didn’t block out the light from the street, and with a fair few stains. The duvet (inner part) was dark brown on the corners where it had obviously been handled a lot. There is a sign on the door advising guests to use the deadlock for their own safety, which is a bit worrying! ||The room was NOT SERVICED at any point during my 3 night stay. Which shouldn’t have surprised me because I genuinely don’t think the rooms are cleaned in between bookings either! ||The bathroom was basic, dated but generally clean, and with a surprisingly good shower. However, the tiny thin towel provided was woefully insufficient to dry a whole human. ||Breakfast was also basic but I’m not hugely into breakfast so it wasn’t the end of the world for me. Some fresh fruit salad would have been nice though.||Overall, just don’t stay here if you can possibly avoid it! If you need to be in Solna business park, as we did, the tube is excellent and it’s only 8 minutes from the centre of Stockholm, so stay somewhere better. Very...

This is a standard, simple business hotel. No frills, but clean and comfortable (although the bed and pillows were not the most comfortable). Everything elas about the room was fine. There is no reception after 10.30 so if you check in after that you have to use a phone at the door. That worked reasonably well, although the staff answering the call couldn't describe clearly where the room key had been left. Breakfast choice is somewhat limited, but good quality. The only good thing about the hotel is the host, she was really nice but other than that, the rooms were in bad shape. The curtain in my room were falling and the mattress could not even qualify to be called as one. The kettle was dirty inside so I did not use it. I have stayed at other best western in the area and they have a good variety in breakfast. This one is underwhelming however the coffee was good. One important thing, if your room is facing the railway track you might not get a goodnight sleep but nothing anyone could...
